So I just got a mod called [Metal Auger] that is a rare plus require 10 points, so I know something's up with it.
Checking the wikia it says that it "allows non-bolt weapons to puncture targets and solid objects to the depth listed". That being said, how useful is it really?

Sounds alright on paper but really pathetic in actual gameplay especially with the mod point required.

It actually requires 3, as you need 2 boltos blueprints to build 2 separate boltos and then the akbolto blueprint to put the two together.
You'll also need 2 standard pistols to craft the 2 boltos as well.

I use them at the moment and they are certainly a step up from the lato's especially when you fit mods to increase damage, fire rate and mag capacity.
Nailing stuff to walls is pretty fun too.

I heard he has a reflect damage or something? I just hide at a distance like a bitch and take pot shots at it and conserve ammo when the bubble is up. Quote:
Btw how good is increase critc rate in this game? For melee it seem too little but for rifle with high fire rate it might mean something....?

As for Sargas Ruk, never really found him to be anymore bullet sponge than other bosses. The bullet bubble is pretty annoying if you soloing him but other than that, you probably just need more dmg on your weapon.

Soooo I just started the game a few nights ago. Right now I've leveled my Excalibur to Level 8, I think.
So far, I'm finding things to be okay enough... the starter Assault Rifle is kinda weak, with a relatively low rate of fire, but that's compensated for by being able to hold down the trigger and walk fire into heads. Still kinda feeling my way through. The guns and all tend to be kinda expensive though T_T

Most of the good weapons take a while to get to.
A good early one to aim for is the Boltor, as it is a solid all around Rifle with innate armor ignore, which is very important when you starting getting to higher level enemies. As it is though, the Braton (not the starter one) is a good first buy.
