Hmm.. there could be a good reason, though.
Like, for example, if he accepts her advances, then he'd be nothing but a horny teenager who doesn't know what he wants.
If he rejects her, that means he's serious about Rea.

I really hope that's it. My complaint is that's how the chapter ended. Really cheap way to end it. What's really dumb is, why is he wasting time with a stupid missing person's report. He needs to be gar and search everywhere. Besides, she's obviously where they hung out in the beginning of the series.

The thing is that "being gar" generally in involves being a silly manchildren that gets away with his stuff, simply because the author allows him to, when in reality, that'd be a rather stupid way to act. Not all authors like "gar" development and Furuya did make a rather intelligent move while still looking rather cool.

I think the question is how do you chain yourself with your hands tie behind your back. I would like to know how some people do it.

Having finally caught up with this story I can now safely say that it is now one of my top favorite manga. It's a completely fresh take on the zombie genre and I love it.

Now that Furuya has found Rea I can predict him giving her some heart warming speech to convince her to come home with him.

Aria isn't Rea's real mother, which is why she doesn't give two shits about her, and in truth hates her (the whole maid plot reminded me of My Favorite lol). Furthermore, Rea is the splitting image of her real mom, which explains why Daddy is so obsessed with his daughter: he sees her mom in her. Furuya finds Rea at the end of the chapter, chained up... in a well!? How did she end up like this? __________________

Rea thought about how if she stayed near Furuya, she would eventually eat him. That thought suddenly made her really happy because of her zombie instinct. Rea is SO cute. 8D She went outside to the well and swung a chain and let the momentum of the chain tie around her. When Furuya arrives at the abandoned building, he calls out her name. It causes her to panic and she trips into the well. Upon seeing Rea all tied up under the well, Furuya asks if she is into "SM Play." Haha. <: Furuya uses a hook and pulls Rea up even though she does not want to be pulled up. They return to the abandoned building. Some dialogues take place and Rea tells Furuya to forget about her. Suddenly, a lightning strikes into one of the trees outside, causing it to catch on fire. The fire spreads into the building and surrounds Furuya and Rea. Rea "appears" to have gone berserk again and she says to Furuya, "if you don't listen to me, I will eat you" with a smile. <: What will Furuya do, I wonder. Just when I think the manga is slowing down, an exciting cliff hanger leaps out of nowhere. >:
