Are you trying to draw chibi style? Anyways first of all it would be better idea to start with a stick man and work your way up. From what i see it looks like you attemped to draw the picture right away. However doing so the proportions look incredibly weird. I sugest starting here :

thanks, and, looking at them again, the main thing i noticed was the arms were too short....
