It's Japan. Christianity is not exactly the main religion, and is much more open to what can be done with it.

That's not my point. The problem is how other people in other countries view it.....you can say USA mainly....guess who occupies Japan now. Point being is religion messing does tend to mess up some people's mind. I can't say I will be dropping this but I do express the dislike of fan service with nuns and no I don't watch any porn nor hentai that has anything of that nor I wish to know that.

As far as I remember the next episodes (and arcs maybe?) won't really have as much fanservice as this episode which kinda goes in the sense of "put it all into one and continue with the rest!", despite it being fixed content.
Maybe that'll lessen the burden for some.

Hey if it means more action and plot with SFX like last episode's guy's bow...then heck yeah I am in for it. Also please up fan service of Komoe and Mikoto.....a lot here would love that more.

Fanservice for Mikoto I guess it would be like the one from the first episode not much more than that.

And Komoe, have you seen the OP? Well then, just wait. The is still at his second episode.

P.S.:Railgun has fanservice with Kuroko and Mikoto since the first episode...

Well from wat I heard and I read a little LN of TAMNI in B-T.....its more than an ecchi and action!
beside railgun manga isn't fan-base but the anime made it fan-base...i heard it was to promote Index for getting popular for it second season!

So if you think it got less action than the first season....just wait for vol.9-10 and 12-13!

BTW wat about nuns? nuns are suppose to be naked anyway cuz there suppose to be pure like adam and eve!....
we should appreciate that here they even where bras and pantys

Well for ceremonies alike yes but their exposure is not to males at least. Appreciation for this is not my kind of taste. Anyways the question is was it accidental or sexually gratifying......I think it can be viewed both ways but to me it looks more sexual. I will leave it at that.

I think it would have been almost as popular without Railgun.
Railgun got its own popularity.
If it was really to promote, heck damn those nay-sayers who got stuck with Railgun and rage over Mikoto not appearing enough etc.

While I think it's kinda meaningless to point that out to people who don't read the LN, I think the upcoming 2 episodes or so will probably have just the action some people want to see badly.

Just watched the second episode and they really did a good job of adapting the light novels. I still don't like KugiRie voicing Agnese, but oh well.

I do think that they should have toned down the fanservice though. Heck, I don't even remember those scenes in the LN
s, but then again i read volume 7 a while ago...

Next episode: Amakusa Catholics in action! HELL YEAH!

Hah...
As always, too much special terminology and katagana names... As a person that gave up on the novel, the episode's "main content" felt considerably... Well, using Touma's and Steil (sp. forgotten)'s line, "I'm the one that wants an explanation".

And the only content that was understandable was... just a bunch of fanservice, haha.
Kugimiya does not fit that girl...

PS: The poses of those people at the end were funny. (It's a どや...)

I, for one, have nothing against fanservice/ecchi...(even in Index), if my avatar and signature are anything to go by...
so, I appreciated those service bits from the episode.

just, there was far too much "babbling" (although, in the awesome index style), and far too less action this time.

that aside, an enjoyable ep.

some funny Gifs and stitches =>

That was a surprising dose of fanservice there (not complaining ). Looks like Index has a new rival...

Not a whole lot of action this episode, but it seemed more like a 'setting the stage' sort of thing.

I don't see what's so hard to understand really (and I read it in a language I can barely count as 'understand' @_@), but I'll be happy to clear up any confusions or misunderstandings within the contents of this episode should anyone require the need

I'll give this episode a 10/10. They got the balance of the story pretty much right, though first-timers would face the challenge of accelerated (no pun intended) pacing. Nonetheless, it's a perfect adaptation of the first half of Volume 7.

... Watching now via Ayako subs.

... Can't really ignore the transliteration mistakes, but at least it makes things much more understandable. Now if only I can ignore the spelling mistakes...

... ironically, they got Agnese's name right.

I don't know how to imagine what if Aoi Yuuki voiced Agnese instead, but I think it'd be better if it wasn't Kugimiya Rie voicing that role. Because... uh, well, there's this awkward feeling when I hear Agnese speaking.

hm, a chance of pace, looks like stuff is going to be happening outside Academy City.

I really didn't like the first 10 minutes of this episode, why did they have to get that maid girl to spin in place the whole time, gave me a headache. I forget, but did Index forget about Steyr and stuff too? She seemed to be acting rather cold to him.

Didn't mind the fanservice that much. but man that girl in the tent that ran into Touma when he walked in was super short..

overall, just a 'set stuff up' episode.

Episode was solid. The things removed wasn't bad, just some magicbabbles and some other character quirks, that doesn't really lose anything. We're still presented with the main impression of the characters in general.

I can relate to how... awkward the fanservice scenes are, because normally fanservice moments come in transition ( episode per episode, one interludes between larger scenes ), but it kinda just spiked to overdrive in the last few scenes continuously.
