I think I love the entire Japanese cast except for Rise and Kuma (Teddie). Rie Kugimiya is terrible for Rise and a complete miscast and makes it worse that you have to hear her voice everytime once she joins your party. Then Teddie is unbearable in the Japanese version, I think the performance for it was too over the top.

As for the rest, I can say, play the Japanese version if you want a superior female cast, play the english version for a better male cast.

Atlus Japan have lowered the price of the PSN edition of the game from now until the 9th of January, in response to the game's winning of a couple of Playstation Awards.

(At the equivalent of 59 US dollars, the discounted price is still fairly high compared to the amount you'd pay to get the game in the U.S. or Canada.)

Also, at the risk of being annoyingly awkward, I wanted to note that a new SMT:P social group is up for anyone interested in popping over.

On another note... does anyone here have Rise character portrait from the epilogue?

I've heard that the secret boss isn't like p3 secret boss and wouldn't use cheat megidolaon when your character can absorb any of her attacks. You could try farm absorb skill cards and then put it in your yoshitsune or something to solo her then again, I haven't tried it myself so be careful.

Yup, the secret boss is def easier, but she does have a 9999 Megidolaon (but the trigger for it is different).

I'll say it's easier to the point that I'm actually willing to fight this. Probably could have eased it up by lowering difficulty settings, but that seemed to be going too far.

Eventually worked out. Got lucky on those single target evasions, abused the heck out of those physical reflect corns I grew, and just went nuts when the health was pretty low .

Just something interesting I thought I'd bring up which pertains to the Persona series in general, Index has recently filed a trademark for a sub-division of Atlus called "P-Studio".

It very much seems the team behind the Persona games are going to be a whole separate studio now. Here's their logo:

Have your doubts? Then I urge you to look on the back of your copy of Persona 4: Arena or Persona 4: Golden. The logo for P-Studios should be there. There's your proof.

What's most interesting I figure, is that perhaps this could also signify Persona breaking away from the Shin Megami Tensei licence and becoming it's own unique IP?

With this recent news of Index Corporation registering the website for Persona 5 I remembered that I still haven't bought The Golden yet.

Can anyone convince me not to fork down full price right now on the PSN?

No. Go and buy it now.

And then you should feel ashamed that you have not bought it earlier

Yeah, I'm not going to try and dissuade you from getting it. Considering it's only a matter of time until I start my fourth playthrough of it . Definitely worth the money.

Have fun.

I'll wait for a price drop or a game drought first

ATM there is no shortage of games coming up... Especially with Xillia around the corner, my life can only accommodate one major JRPG full time!

Wait... Why didn't anyone tell me that the game had live performances of the songs as unlockables?

You never asked ?

Will say that this really had some amazing extras added to it. Live performance videos, music player, quiz shows, etc.
