False. Megumi's not in love, yet. She's just unaware of her feelings towards Souma.

This was confirmed by Tsukuda-san himself, when a question was posed to him about it. More importantly, he mentioned Erina would be one of the main contenders for the Souma-bowl, but nothing's been set in stone, yet.

He also went on to say he sees this series running on for a long time, & the start of many arcs to follow (from the Autumn elections).

Also, not sure if you've noticed, there is something subtly going on between Ryouko & Ibusaki, which was again highlighted in this chapter (117).

For starters, Aya has boobs, whereas its practically non-existent on her.

Besides, we don't know how her personality/character is like; I'm thinking a mixture of Kuu & Yan.

god don't let that happen. i can't stand it when manga or anime have the main character fall for the girl that wants nothing to do with him. i hated it in ranma 1/2. i hated it in the irresponsible captain Tyler. and if the do it here (and who am i kidding they will) i'll hate it then. now don't get me wrong, i would have no problem with it if they did more to erina's character development and her interactions to souma showing that there something there albeit slowly in the beginning (maybe ch. 60 or so) but, we're 117 chapters in and, she is still a complete bitch.

I think I'd rather have Erina just completely wreck the competition. She's been played up so much that I feel like it would be a let down if she ends up being a pushover, but maybe that's just me.

Erina has always been popular with the readers, be it in Japan or elsewhere, despite her rather limited appearances & development(s) so far.

She finished 2nd in the 1st popularity poll:

You don't need to wait that long. If not for Erina, Souma would not have been able to get to the finals. If she really wanted to, she could have given him a false hint, that is what an evil person would do. Megumi wouldn't have passed the Stagiare's first week if not for her either. Reread the chapter again. Soma and Erina struck a deal and the hint that she gave was so vague that hardly can be consider as a deal if you asked me.

I'm on the mind that if he can't figure out such a vague hint he really isn't suited to be no.1

Souma's bowl is like some double innuendo, especially since his bowl brings about such ecstasy if you know what I mean. Well it shouldn't surprise any one that Erina would turn into a haremette. With that interview it confirms that romance is being planned.

↑ You know Im a little biased while talking about her, but I think Souma may have liked that vague hint, like, that dude prefer to dude things by himself if its possible. He even skipped the advise of his father in the first chapter. Plus, that for a manga seems like an ok trade, not the best nor the worst, but ok.

About how she hasnt been properly developed till now, well, there hasnt been a proper time honestly. Counting every arc, there wasnt a proper time to do it. Now that everything is moving to a place where she can he somehow developed, I would say that let just wait and see what happens.
