Taiga is quite a bit cuter in the manga, but the art is a bit of a mixed bag.

Damn, with the current speed of releases, the chapters always end sooner than they should...

Ryuuji looks a lot different in the manga... he looks considerably manlier, which has the effect of changing my perception of his character.

's interesting.

hmm after reading ch 17 lastest one out, parts of the manga feel a little better than they did in the anime but then I think thats down to my love for the art style here.

well I liked the part here where I think Ryuuji actually gives Taiga a little slap on the butt when she's reading the magazine

They're a lot more physically intimate in the novels and manga than they are in the show...

ahh ok, now kinda wishing that aspect was out into the anime now. Not that the anime is bad in anyway but I really do like how it goes in the manga.

At this point, I just view the anime as a nice introduction to the novels and manga. It was still better than "the average romance anime" in my opinion despite its rough spots - simply because it portrayed both males and females with their own vectors in life, not just revolving around "being chosen" or "becoming a couple".

Yes, the manga is quite enjoyable (as are the novels).

Looks like the volume releases are only going to happen once a year or so... :P So I may have to grab a "sneak preview" of the monthly stuff for my fix....

i wish they could make a different ending for the manga, but i dont like the art too much it was better on the anime, i dont know if its the same artist making this manga, somebody knows? i know he was in the anime and he also made a great short and good manga called watashitachi no tamura kun. I just hope to see a new work soon and with a better worked up ending (also im not too much of ryuu and taiga follower xD for me it was like big bro and lil sister) minorin was first as well -.-

Hmm, ch 24 has been translated into English just last week...

For those of you that have read both, is the Manga closer to the Novels than the Anime? Is it still skimping out on the details?

Just wondering, it seems that so far the manga's popularity is paling compared to the Anime and novels.

---
PS: anyone else notice that Inko said his name in the FIRST chapter of the manga?

Yes, it follows the novels pretty closely. I'm not a huge fan of the manga's art style, but I liked that aspect of it.

Don't know how well the manga is selling in Japan.... the collected volumes are coming out only once a year or so.... that's a huge down time between volumes.

Ranked #28, if that means anything.

Only 66 thousand copies sold though. (vs One Piece's 1 million. I don't think its fair to compare it to One Piece though.) It sold less copies than most of the manga ranked lower than it too...

If your measuring stick begins and ends with One Piece you're always going to be disappointed. It's probably the most popular series in Japan since Dragon Ball (Note: I know nothing of it's quality, never read a chapter).
