I believe BakaSan uses XviD Codec.. Try www.xvid.org ... it might be .com instead of .org I forget... Your best bet is to search on Google.
Edit: Be aware that the new "release" of XviD is a hoax (They've put a note on their site too now...) Last edited by NightWish; 2004-04-01 at 15:19. |

do you have the latest xvid codecs as well? I'm not sure what the group you downloaded from was using to encode, but xvid might help. also, check windowsupdate (assuming you're using windows, of course) and get the media player 9 codec pack.
you can get xvid installers at http://www.divx-digest.com/software/xvid.html don't get too stressed about it though, this ep is mostly padding ^_^ flashbacks and insightful moments galore |

I'm facing the same or a similar problem. I tried playing Bakasan's 77 and my player promptly shut down. I updated my Xvid codecs to the lastest I could get
(http://ed.gomez.free.fr/projects/xvi...0/xvid-vfw.zip) But the problem remains. Could this mean that the file I downloaded was broken? But the hash check should prevent that right? |

None of you have tried the version of ffdshow linked in the Media Configuration Guide thread then? That appears to play the file with no problems...
And yes, if BitTorrent says the file was downloaded OK, then it was almost certainly downloaded correctly. |

Good...
Good. By the way this thread should have been in the Playback Help section. However, I'm going to close it and leave it here as a reminder.
