unfortunately they pretty much crapped on everyone on this episode.
So ambigous ending is the best.
I am almost a 100 percent sure that we won't get any resolution on the romance side of the story.

How did the conversation between C.C. and Lelouch play out before Kallen interrupted?

I think Lelouch said that he would take the burden of geass to himself in its entirety.

Not sure how C.C. replied, anyone care to shed some light on that?

That's what bothers me. Such a line makes it seem like she will, but she's short a Knightmare and stuck in an escape pod. I can;t for the life of me get a handle on just what she's planning.

Oh, you can bet on it. There needs to be the romance milk-cash-cow. {drama cds and stuff.} It is like a given that it won't be resolved.

agreed ambiguous ending will leave the fans to figure out what happen at the end.

That is more or less how I understood the fight, too. So no C.C giving up Lelouch and handing him over to Kallen.

The gum line was said in the hangar scene. A rather touching scene since she looked really happy when Lelouch sounded worried for her safety because of her fighting Kallen. AND he said he promised to make her smile before he leaves them.

Another thing, they both definitely looked they were going in for a hug or a kiss there and the "C.C" from Lelouch sounded really soft and warm.

Since I loved the CC and Lelouch scene so, I felt compelled to make a clean translation.

My Japanese is fairly fluent, I have lived in Japan etc., but I have put in italics and underlined any lines/words that I felt could be translated in a different/better way, or that I just cannot hear clearly.

My headset is currently dying on me, only hearing out of one end at poor volume and I only have the low quality raw to listen to, so that was another problem.

Japanese is much, much more dependent on context than English, and I'd rather add as few words as possible from my own mind, so this is a very literal translation, apologizes for the weird English

Lelouch walks in the room, towards C.C.

Lelouch: CC! Are you OK?

C.C.: Thats rare. Are you worried about me?

L: That's an important fighting unit eh?
(sound is crap, used context to come up with 'unit'. If not, the context of this sentence could be way off.)

C: That's why I came bringing that.

As C.C. spoke, camera pans toward the shield/crest thingy with golden pointy thing at the front besides the Pink Lancelot

L: So, I'll be asking for your help/cooperation.

C:Are you really going to come out? That might end up firing at Nanali.
[She refers to Lelouch sortying in the Shinkirou. She may/may not be referring to Lelouch firing at Nanali. Not entirely certain what 'that' is refering to, but the sentences meaning is obvious]

L: If it's an obstacle to Zero Requiem, there's nothing that can be done about it.

C: Zero, are you regretting me? Giving you Geass, it changed your destiny greatly...

L: For a witch, that's not like you

C.C. turns around to face Lelouch, close zoom in on Lelouch

L: CC, the Geass you gave me... because you were with me, I was able to begin moving.
(literally: come out and walk: 歩き出すことができたんだ）

Everything I am has been since that point.

I honestly don't know how people got C.C. handing Lelouch to Kallen on a silver platter from that dialogue. If anything, that scene was pertinent to show that C.C. is showing that she cares, and isn't just jaded like she has been for however long she's been alive.

Even as a Lelouch/Kallen fan, I thought the Lelouch/C.C. in this ep was really sweet.

I sure hope this "C.C. is smiling a lot in this ep, time for her to die next week!" signal.

I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy now inside, after seeing that smile of hers...
somehow that whole situation of her gum line (after making me giggle about the context and how the smile part could be so very lovely missinterpreted

) but somehow that made me remember of a coldplay song.. that one with smile in the name a cookie for someone who tells me what song it is it's time to do some amvs again (or force the sister into doing them..)
