I don't remember what chapter this was, but I had a feeling ep 19's some scenes came from that chapter?

Technically, "fan service" means any little moment done because the director knows the fans will "get it". Western fans seem obsessed with reducing that meaning down to "sexually related moments". So, obsessively, getting the details exactly right on a Gundam or a rifle and then lovingly moving the camera over it in good lighting can be considered fan service

What am I saying ? Some days it seems like 'western fans' are intent on compressing meaning to the point of mangling most concepts. Hmmm, this is going to be one of my cranky cynical curmudgeon weeks...

I see...thanks a lot Sophrosyne!!

I really shouldn't use the term "illegal" ... its "unauthorized". There's a huge fight to make such stuff criminal rather than civil and I shouldn't fall into the trap of misusing words (like corporate lawyers calling unauthorized copies "piracy").

Animesuki has policies in place to stay out of hot water when possible. That means they don't list any locations/torrents of material that is licensed in the US. It also means posters can get banned for saying where to get unauthorized versions of licensed manga/anime.

Before K-On! was licensed by Yen Press, there wasn't much of a problem with K-On scanlations on the web. Once Yen licensed it, they intend to make a profit selling the manga, so scanlations are a direct threat to their sales. Usually websites get "Cease & Desist" lawyer letters which they respond to by removing the files.

Its all very wonky and stupid because in most cases, a manga would never be popular or get licensed in the first place without the excitement created by the scanlations (or the fansubs of anime before those get licensed).

The main thing is to read Animesuki policy and not violate it when posting.
If you know where to get K-On! scanlations - just keep it to yourself.
erm....seems like I have learn a lot of things here........Thanks Vexx!! You sure went a lot of trouble explaining it to me!! Much appreciate XD!!

Sorry for the late reply though....cuz my academy has reach its climax level like the K-On girls....can't even went back home now....

The cover of the final fourth volume of the manga should be Mugi...meaning no Azusa cover. They may surprise us, who knows? From the looks of it, over 2000000 copies of the K-On! manga has been sold, with the fourth volume also expected to top the oricon charts...

Won't be One Piece numbers, but should be pretty impressive none-the-less.

Especially with the anime boost.

unless they make a special volume covering Azusa's final year.

That'd be nice.

Seriously, someone needs to shop Mugi into a nurse uniform, then the keyboard into Mio on an operating table.

Minus off all the operating equipment and a really bright illumination light....that would be a perfect cover.

I'll resist until the anime finishes.

I made the mistake of reading the manga when the first season was part way through and spoiled some good scenes.

But I'm already pacing the halls in anticipation.

What actually happens to Azusa is sad, but kinda expected...

Spoiler for Azusa's fate:

Well I'm sure it'll all get covered up in smiles in the end anyway, seeing as coloured manga sections are usually the start of the chapter.

Aww Poor Azunyan!! If they animate that in the anime, I know I'll cry my eyeballs out. My eyes are all watery just from looking at that panel!!
But it's really ending!! I'm freaking out! I don't want such a great manga to end!

Yeah... that'll be a killer moment. Someone will need to sedate Saintess so he doesn't freak out over Azunyan's moment.

I think I already died of moe overload at her crying. She looks so......cuddly to the ridiculous level.

So it's finally over? I can only recall two series in recent memory that had the ending of both media coincide with each other.

seeing Azusa off with a little jam session was very fitting. Azunyan will be alright. She's got Ui and Jun. Actually, Ui looks like she's taking this pretty well in comparison to Azusa.
