I don't think Madoka is a good choice of name for a celestial object. At least when it comes to taking names from fictional characters. "Madoka" kinda sounds well... bland, considering that Madoka is just her regular, everyday name. I'd be more inclined to agree if she had a cooler title or something. And we have enough bland nebula names already, thanks to all those Messier X objects. And anyway, there's quite a few unrelated characters named Madoka, even though this one is probably the most well-known (like the girl from Rinne no Lagrange, as a somewhat recent example) . Hell, Ultraman Tiga has "Madoka" as part of his human name, and he has more association with nebulae.
And "Madokami" doesn't sound very good either. Do Japanese fans even use that name? |

She barely looks like Charlotte, or someone holding Charlotte. But it's not blatant in any way, coincidental if anything. Last edited by Kudryavka; 2013-02-02 at 16:45. |

Eh, I say she looks more like Princess of the Crystal than Mami. She looks hardly anything like Mami. The hairstyle is absolutely unlike Mami, the outfit lacks a corset, the ribbons aren't the same, and well...

Perhaps Mami influenced the character, but pretty much any character carries influence from something else, and it's not blatantly obvious like say, Shary Bobbins. Last edited by Shyni; 2013-02-03 at 10:57. |

It seems the tables have turned, now Kamen Rider has Madoka elements, In Kamen Rider Wizard the second rider Kamen Rider Beast, has to absorb the energy of Phantoms or he'll die, so he's left in a similar problem to Madoka's magical girls, and oddly enough he's a bit like Kyoko, especially the homeless and always eating part. He has a similar competitive relationship with Wizard that Kyoko and Sayaka had at first

I think you guys'll enjoy these. Here's my first video from my KawaKon2013 Madoka panel.
You know personally I think that Homura is Keanu Reeves and the real protagonist. So I made this video too for the video contest and my panel. And I didn't even place. |

Plus, Ryuki also had a "homeless and always eating" guy, Ouja/Asakura. Well, not always eating, but the show tended to emphasize how he eats. |
