Very interesting chapter. Despite Orlando entering the frey and building up Krishna's moral, the capitol is still under seige with Borcus taking control. Despite having the numbers, Orlando's golems were outclassed in pilots and the quality of golems. Not only that, but they had to deal with Io of all people. Looks like the western from might end up in Athen's hands with the enterance of Zess and co.. I was surprised that Borcus took caution that the black golem might be in the area and ordered his troops not to wonder far. Really enjoyed Rygart's enterance and look at the end of the chapter.

Also, the manga site for this series just released a compilation of what chapters were used for the 5th and 6th films. It's not a chapter release but 77 pages of selected chapters from vol. 7 up to chapter 49.

Heh, I liked the translator note about Zess's return (side note, in the anime it almost sounds like his name is Zeus, is Zess really the official translation?) but I'll agree that Rygrat completely one-upped him there.

Zess is official but Japanese speak that word like "Zeus". If you notice, many of character have name of myth god/goddess like Sigyun and Narvi .

That's why I was wondering, it seemed like a pretty obvious reference to me so I'm surprised that the official spelling isn't Zeus.

Just finished reading chapter 50. Looks like we are caught up with the series now. Just to let it be known, the newest chapter (51) is supposed to be slated for release later this month.

Very interesting chapter. It would seem that the betrayel was a farce and it's true intentions were to spread to Athens forces into leading them into a trap. Awesome golem play by Difringe as Rygart went on a tear with Borcus's forces. Very interesting to find out that Narvi did her homework on Borcus and came up with the plan on using his tactics against him. It would also seem that Rygart is hell bent on sending Borcus into the afterlife. Cliffhanger showdown, so we have to wait til next chapter to find out how the Rygart vs Borcus battle starts.

So the battle between Rygart and Borcus has ended with Borcus finally being beaten. From what it seems, it looks like the capitol of Krishna are starting to push back the invaders. As for Borcus himself, Rygart loses himself as he executes the man after defeating him. It would seem that Rygart finally realizes what he as done after the fact and starts crying. It is going to be an interesting couple of chapters after this to see how Rygart's character handles the aftermath of killing a man in rage.

I had only read the first 2 chapters until I decided to pick it up this week.

One thing I really love about Break Blade is that it's the first manga I've seen where the main character is confronted with the consequences of making stupidly naive choices. "If you want to save an enemy on the battlefield, be prepared to give up three comrades". I wish more action manga were like this.

Rygart pretty much changed in this chapter. He started in the previous chapters going out like a bat out of hell and terrorizing the battlefield. What was shocking in this chapter was that Rygart had already defeated Borcus, busted up his golem, and pretty much had the man at his mercy. For a couple of panels, Rygart was literally holding a sword over Borcus cockpit and decided to end the guys life even though he was completely defeated. This action was witness by everyone and they were shocked that he acted that cold blooded. It was not until after that fact of what happen that he realized that he just committed a killed without provication.

and borcus had commited about 50 million of those killing without provocation. he deserved to die. Honestly i think even Athens will only miss the strength of borcus but not the person.

and i thought that i can finally get to see some mangas where the mainchar said he will kill and actually do it without hesitation, i had such a high hope for this series...
