Doubt it. There are probably already one or two people here who will do some nice *little* nitpicking about anything that comes to their mind-The way the battle was fought (while it is possible for certain things to happen in a linear way, it isn't exactly exciting or fresh), the realism of the deaths...You name it. I doubt, though, that the full impact of Lockon's death has sunk in to the Ptolemaios crew. There will probably be a bit of mourning in the next episode (not to the point of overdoing it, hopefully), but more importantly I want to see whether his death can bring about more positive effects to the teamwork for the Meisters as well. Setsuna's definitely going to be FRICKIN' pissed. |

How about Tieria/Setsuna (tag team) VS Ali? Why will Tieria chewed on Setsuna, did he caused Lockon's death? I haven't watch the episode yet. He must had said something to piss Tieria off.
Ali is sick, how many more can he kill before he got killed? Damn. |

He doesn't care if he dies, as long as someone else will take over his duty. Should Ali survive, Setsuna will probably take on Lockon's duty to avenge his family.

Wow what a really intense ep, can't wait to watch it with subs so wish I could understand the dialog between lockon and ali .
Though I cant say Lockon was my favourite character I did like the way he exited the stage. As for Dynames I'm going with the notion that it will be out of action for the remainder of the eps but we might see it again in s2. Lots of action 10/10 On another note where the heck has Graham been ?. I hope they dont just hold him back till the last ep only to have him die in the same ep |

Lockon...DEAD? When he probably has the biggest fanbase in all of G00 among the Gundam pilots? Riiiiiiiiiiiiight.
Mwu: Supposed to be dead. Fanbase too great. More money can be milked by keeping him alive flying new shiny gundams. *REVIVEDED!* Zechs: Hey, there are so many drooling fangirls over him and so many people like this bishy anti-hero! And we can milk him for more money with Tallgeese III sales! *REVIVEDED* Lockon: Hey, he's the only one that provides a sense of normalcy and comic relief to those screwed up Meisters! Plus, we can give him a new Gundam in S2! *REVIVEDED* When you realize that anime (ESPECIALLY GUNDAM) is a giant marketing tool, then where there's money to be made, there are characters to bring back. Who cares if that "gar farewell scene" only lasted for one season's break rather than forever? Frankly, I will be highly disappointed...HIGHLY disappointed if Mizushima actually kills Lockon. Who's going to be that niceguy among the Meisters now? Will Nena be the little cheerleader trying to get everyone in a joyous mood with her extreme extroversion? Funny. Maybe Al will try to step in Lockon's shoes? Nope. Oh, and as for grunts being good... Giant beam blast of doom > grunts. Always. So says Virtue's Trans-Am. Sure, it's still a sad excuse of a wannabe of Wing Zero. But at least it gives credence to my opinion that it's not the grunts that are so damn good--it's the meisters that simply don't have enough death blasting weaponry and skill to make the grunts look like the grunts in other non-UC shows.

Since no bodies is seen (who cares about anyone being blown into nothing), there is chances of revival. Lockon may be back ... in mask (pulling a Mwu La Fraga). We still have "Lockoff"
Yeah, he does have a large fanbase as he is the most human. |

I really don't see the point of reviving Lockon if they want to keep the series good. I'll be seriously disappointed if they did. It'd mean that they are again ready to screw everything up because of the fansbases. Most of the things that disappointed me in Destiny probably derived from the producers' will to please the fans. But... what if the producers are wrong and the there are many fans like me who "love to be hurt" by the plot?

But I'm assuming his Gundam was damaged, either during the battle or in the last battle, so he couldn't make use of the Trans-AM system. Might be wise to rewatch this series again with fansubs. My Japanese is still too limited. |
