I see you did not mention Ashley.
Which is interesting, because I full on intended to romance Ashley in ME1 at least once, but was turned off after learning more about her. It's strange that I now have the urge to kill her off and save Kaidan instead in every ME1 playthrough because I don't want that woman on my ship. It's amazing how much difference it makes to hear her open her mouth and say all that garbage. Liara? She is just a kid mentally, so don't want to romance her either. So I will just skip getting the achivement of ME1 and "save" my character for Tali in ME2.

Liara's childishness is evident in ME1, but in ME2, she's hardcore. Lair of the Shadow Broker was epic, one of the best mission segments in the whole series. The two big ME2 DLCs were great (though Arrival is a bit lackluster).
Overlord's still my favorite though, except for the damned vehicle portions. Grr.

It's kind of difficult to choose my final character build, as I WANT Tali on my team but I also like to play as an engineer. And it is a bad idea to have two engineers in the team... Guess I will go for biotic with Sniper bonus talent.

The only question is who should I choose as my third member in ME1. (I already decided who is going to be in ME2 AND 3. Tali and Legion. As I say, I want to broker a peace deal between the Quarians and Geth. So I am going to keep my eyes out for the both of them.)

Vanguard in ME2 plays differently than it did in ME1. ME1's Vanguard was more like a Soldier/Adept hybrid with OP shotgun skills. ME2's Vanguard is really its own class, built around the Biotic Charge skill. The playstyle is similar--you're in cover a lot less than the other classes--but mastering the use of Charge takes some getting used to, if you were a Vanguard in ME1.
Edit: Oh make sure you get all the DLC. The Locust SMG from Kasumi's loyalty mission makes Vanguard far less frustrating on higher difficulties (at least until after the Collector ship where you can pick up AR training). Plus the ME2 DLC is very well done and totally worth the extra cost, even the DLC characters--Zaeed is awesome for geth missions if you're not a Soldier.

Femshep is a no-go for me because I want to romance Tali.
If one think really hard about it, does gender really matter when we are dealing with an alien SPECIES? It's not like my male Shepard can impregnate her or anything...

Well, quarians are male/female like we are, but there are indications that Tali doesn't really care whether Shepard's male or female. You can get pretty much all of the same dialogue that canon!Shepard gets with her as a female Shepard, you just don't get the last stages of the romance (and the fade-to-black sex scene).
Tali is quite obviously Shepard-sexual. In my last ME2 playthrough, I made her so nervous and stammery if she were human she'd be blushing like a beacon.

Yeah, Tali makes my Male Shepard feel Wanted. Which is weird because technically the entire galaxy worships him already especially after ME1. But Tali still somehow, loves Shepard more than everyone else combined...

what bugs me the most, was something someone said a while back that tali's mom was a lesbian because her aunt staid with her during child birth... I literally almost punched my screen...
Trying to make up some bogus things to make tali seem gay...

I don't have a problem with it. You are romancing an alien organism who can't even eat the same food you do and can barely touch your skin without becoming allergic. Gender preference is the least of your problems. To be with Shepard would require Tali to betray her species. A species who is just barely hanging on and in danger of extinction. What gender Shepard is would matter very little from that perspective.

As I say, as far as Tali is concerned she has already jumped far beyond Bisexual into unknown territory. From her perspective, being in love with Shepard is already a culturally destructive act. It's not going to make her father feel any better that "She is marrying a HUMAN? Oh, it's a male? Then that's fine."
