Well, I got it to work but... When I start the game the screen (Where you play the game) comes up black, but then an error pops up. It's a normal error, but I can't get it to work. Any help?

Well.. Since I am swedish it's on swedish, but I can do a rough translation of it: "Daybreak.exe has occured an error and have to quit.
If you worked with something, the information that you are working with may be lost.
Describe the error to Microsoft.
We have created a erroraccount that you can send to us. The account will be treated (Couldn't figure out this word at all :P) and anonymous.

If you want to see the error in the erroraccount click here."

Then there are two clicking-bars, one sayin "Send erroraccount" and one saying "Don't send erroraccount"

Hope you understand the rough translation.

Also, are you using XP or Vista? I've heard Daybreak is not Vista friendly.

Well, I use XP. But I have the real Daybreak CD that I bought over internet about 2 years ago. It's just that I really want to play the expansion as well. So I tried to download this. But the Daybreak CD works fine on XP

Which "daybreak##.dat" files are in the same directory as the executable?

daybreak00.dat, daybreak01.dat, and daybreak02.dat are needed to play the original release.
Those and daybreak03.dat are needed to play the patched version.
daybreak00.dat, daybreak01.dat, daybreak02.dat, daybreak04.dat, daybreak05.dat, and daybreak06.dat (possibly also daybreak03.dat) are needed for the unpatched version of Kai.
And you'll need those plus daybreak07.dat for the patched version of Kai.
(Patched refers to their patches, not my English patch.)

If you have all the daybreak##.dat files you need, post a screenshot of the directory and I'll see if anything else is missing.

And as you can see, I got far from all the .dat's files I need. And I really don't know why I didn't get them, because I downloaded it, installed it, and I still don't got all the .dat files.

You need to put all those files in the same directory as where you installed Daybreak originally. (daybreak 00-02 .dat should be on the Daybreak CD. daybreak 04-06 .dat should be on the Kai CD.)

You'll need the Kai disc somehow.

The Daybreak wiki has some tips on getting it.

One question! Well... As I noticed not all the characters got special attacks... But apparently some got special attacks that just work on friendship/oyashiro. Is there any site where I can see wich one that got spe. attacks and on wich hypermode they are avaible at?

When I try to install the english patch (perform-patch.exe), an error pops up so that I can't even start to patch it, any help? I have put it in the Higurashi Daybreak folder but it won't start.

It says the file zlib1.dll is missing.

Look in the source directory. Copy zlib1.dll out of there.
