Anime with a particular character design.

This may sound shocking coming from one of AS' two biggest Sayaka Miki fans, but I've always been fond of the Hitomi Shizuki character design. There's 4 particular characters that have a design like that, and I enjoyed seeing it in each of the shows with it.

The 4 Hitomis:


Madoka Magica's Hitomi herself.


Mari-Mite's Shimako Toudo


Gen'ei's Luna Tsukuyomi


Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate's Mifuyu Kiba


Yes, it's a bit ironic I call these "the 4 Hitomis" since Hitomi may well be the least "main cast" character of all four. However, Hitomi was the first of the four I encountered (I watched Mari-Mite when archive-digging long after I watched Madoka Magica), so I always think of her when I see "another Hitomi".

To sum up the design in words - Generally tall, elegant look. Long-flowing curly hair that's at least shoulder length (though even longer is a plus). Soft green, yellow, or purple for hair and eyes. The personality is helpful as well - All four of these girls have a very... ladylike, I guess you could say, vibe to them.


So, know any anime shows with a major character like one of the 4 Hitomis?

Closest I can think of at the moment is Koumi Haruka from Rail Wars but I can't say I particularly recommend the series she's from.

Try Kanako Watanabe from Star Driver. Not a main character, but still a good one.

Perhaps Hime Makita from Sora no Manimani?

Maybe not enough of a main character but Camille Blanche from Ikoku Meiro no Croisée came to mind

Also if you want to play a VN , Lilly from Katawa Shoujo fits nicely.

Just so you know, my taste in anime has changed a fair bit over time, and so with it has my taste in anime characters. So particular types of characters that appeal to me now might have escaped my notice a few years ago. And honestly, my considerable fondness for Madoka Magica had a major impact on what I like in characters.

So, you're more or less right about Lucky Star's Miyuki, and Code Geass' Nunnally in fact fits my request like a glove. Very inspired pick-up there. Maybe I should give Code Geass a rewatch.

If it weren't for her hair style, I'd have suggested Hiro from Hidamari Sketch. Same character designer as Madoka:



How about Alice from Ikoku Meiro no Croisee?



or perhaps her lovely older sister Camille?



Alice can be rowdy, especially when she cannot keep herself from fawning over the main character, the Japanese girl Yune. Camille, on the other hand, always acts in an elegant and lady-like manner. (Ah, I see that totoum already mentioned Camille.)
