Just finished this in 2 days. What a ride. Is it me or did it get pretty boring around the same time the hiatus started/ended? That new band of the hawks war was totally disappointing.

2 days? legend! took me a week....though that was during exam prep week -_-. i felt exactly the same. once it got to the lost children arc the series just felt completely different. no progress being made at all....

I don't know how often I reread Bersek. It really fantastic, but I can't stand the pace anymore.
I think I will put it on hold for the next 10-15 years in hope that it has finished by than and I can read it in on go.^^

And what is Miura doing the whole time? Is he still playing too much Idolmaster?

I'm currently rereading it myself. God, Schierke's character and her relationship with Guts is totally Miura channelling his love for Idolmaster.
