...Haruka should've understand that things won't stay the same....Well, I kinda understand how she felt, but she should keep up with how things changed and look forward on what kind of future it will hold. Having something different for the future doesn't mean that it will be worse than the past. Heck, it might even be more better than the past
![]() After watching the episode myself, I must say that Haruka...is not really at fault She's just trying to act strong in her own way even though her shell got broken later in the end. What's to blame is those people in stage management who the heck opened that hole during recess!? What I like about this episode are relation BGM, little match BGM and the ending BGM. Nice choice of songs for this episode's atmosphere. Also Mikimiki being awesome as she's always been ;_; It's a good thing that she didn't try to hold back and is trying her best to get the lead role for her honey. Though one might argue that it's cruel of her to do that because Haruka is at that state I think it's not that she didn't realize (or at least, she understand a bit) about Haruka's circumstances..Its just that she has things that she needs to achieve (in this case, getting the lead role) and she prioritized that first than the other (in this case, caring about Haruka). Maybe she believes that Haruka can overcome it and that's why she can focus on getting the lead role. ....or maybe not. I guess we shall see how it will develop next week. ....also, I think I'll stick with Haruka's avatar for another week She needs more moral support ;_;

I think chikorita157's post helped clear mine up on the matter on why Haruka's arc is infinitely more depressing than Chihaya's (even though both are excellent):
Spoiler for Arcs:
While I love the Chihaya episode to death *points to sig*, this episode is even more poignant and even more hopeless in tone than any other previous episode was before it, and that was well before the WHAM moment at the end. Episode 24 is going to hurt isn't it?

Ahh man, this episode was filled with sorrow from start to finish. It must be hard for Haruka to act happy and keep everyone's spirits up all the time, especially after she gets told bad news that slowly picks away at her. Didn't help that Miki told her they shouldn't work together, which is what all the idols have been doing up until that point. Also, with there show being cancelled which was one of the rare opportunities all of them were actually together, it was quickly becoming more than Haruka could handle. It wasn't nice seeing Haruka sad for me, especially since she's suppose to be the happiest of them all and lifts there spirits.
I sure do hope Miki or anyone else doesn't confront her and blames her for the producers accident next episode, that would suck.

Haruka have always been the singular source of strength of the group throughout, from their squalid anonymity to the trials and tribulations of fame. Her inexhaustible enthusiasm is something always to be count on whenever troubles arises to rally them on to persevere.
But, as always life must move on and nothing should stay as it is. Being the default persona of us viewer it is through her eyes that we see this somewhat sad event. We get to see that it's only her that seemed conscious of this experience, making it all the more sad. Now as the players move on to their seprate ways, what does a group cheerleader be when there is no longer a group. Everyone else are living the life that they dreamed. All seemed to be moving forward. We felt something for Haruka as she clings to such happy moments and feels that she's being left in the dust by rest. Even though she could be more subtle, I don't blame Miki for telling the truth when it's rather obvious and such pleasantries would look spurious. Unfortanately Haruka doesn't have any support like Chihaya does to motivate her to move on and find her own dream, plus the Producer went down the hole, so to speak We get to see the breaking up of the group and seemingly losing their keys support. Let's see how the team will rally themselves in helping their "lost" teamates in the coming episodes. Last edited by inisipis; 2011-12-09 at 13:42. |

Irony...
I just posted this image, and then bang, eps 23... FUUUUUU..... This is most depressing episode... Am i really watching Idolm@ster?? Where is my usual "always positive" Haruka?? Chihaya arc is just sad. But this Haruka arc, it is depressing... I dont feel sad, i just feel all my energy drained away... Poor Haruka... Being left by all her comrades... Yukiho finally got single debuted... Ryuugu Komachi has #1 single. Miki is getting new idol award and most likely will get lead role in musical theatre.. While Haruka... Sunday is being cancelled, her dream of friendship is slowly deteriating... I'll just go to sleep... Poor Haruka... ;_; Addition: The only thing in eps 23 that can make me smile is the "perfect" substitution of Chihaya in Sunday... Flat as always... ![]() Addition part 2:

I can't watch that damned falling scene, everything about it so sickening. The piano is tense, the shot over the hole is completely black, and the sound of Producer falling is painful.
One thing I want to ask. Did anyone else notice how some stuff changed as it went from stream-->raw-->subbed? In the streamed version, you could still see the bottom of the hole where the wooden lift was. In the raw, you couldn't see the floor anymore, and in the subbed version, the sound of Producer hitting the floor is less brutal. I think that's what I observed. Episode 23: The Fall From Grace

This episode. THIS EPISODE.
![]() BRODUCER!! ;_; And still, even without that cliffhanger, it was seriously depressing to see haruka like that and watch 765 prod becoming so...fragmented. This was foreshadowed all the way back since episode 5 and the last episode was building on it so we all knew it was coming, yet it more actually more depressing to actually watch it than I thought. ;_; |

I got curious so I watched it streamed first. It wasn't subbed, but as I mentioned, the scene where Haruka hangs over the hole shows the floorboards of the lift, but in the original raw and subbed versions, it's just a black hole.
I hope I'm not going crazy and seeing things, but I'm almost sure I saw it.

That's weird. Maybe the BD/DVD will show it. It sounded like it was a long fall.
Here's something kinda interesting to see. Spoiler for Haruka's changes of expression in ep23:
Spoiler for An adorable scan to lighten the mood:
