i dont know if this ep is really emotional or rather the only emotion i got while watching it is rage. I feel an urge to settle some personal matters with the antagonist of this series. i waited for a big publicity about tearing past story and rocket popularity of Chihaiya to slam into his face but it didnt happen...

It's fine... I didn't get upset at all during that episode... not once... OH WHO AM I KIDDING. CHIHAYA

I was so happy when she started singing again that it bought tears to my eyes. :X

That's unfortunate, you're missing out on something wonderful by letting rage eclipse the rest of the emotional spectrum this episode provides.

I dislike him just as much as you, but this episode was a wonderful example of how even the darkest of scenarios can have a silver lining. Chihaya was distraught, and lost both her will, and her actual ability, to perform, but she worked through her problems and dealt with them head-on in the end. Now she's a stronger, fuller, happier person for it, and the ogre who attempted to bully her was completely ignored. He was left out of the equation entirely, his tactics serving only to make Chihaya, and her solidarity with her compatriots, stronger.

That's a wonderful outcome, and there was no need for revenge. Clearly, Kuroi lost this round, hoisted by his own petard.

Regarding the next episode, it looks like we're going to have some Kuroi confrontation and perhaps a little bit from Otonashi and the 765 Pro execs or something. Looking forward to it.
