A bit disappointed that it's not a season but at this stage Kumeta is probably crying on the fact that there is an anime of some sort.

EDIT: Via nyontaka (http://nyontaka.net/archives/8556), there will be three OVAs. 4/27, and then June and August for the next two (scheduled).

Kumeta Koji: Why now?... Since there are unexpectedly tons of golds in this world, even Arab's millionaire's are involved in this? Shaft first said they will going to do it lightly, but there is no turning back now. Honestly, I want to turn back. (laugh) It would be better to get animation release timing after having new addition. Square-enix staffs are very surprised, saying that it is something that they cannot expect to happen.

Shaft is officially one bunch of crazy people, I suppose.

OP (?) is avaible through the website

Really liking the overall style of the characters, and animation itself seems to be pretty good. I wonder whether Imamura and/or Abe will be animating for this as well. Anyway, if this looks as good as some of the cuts in the OP in the actual show it'll just prove that SHAFT can do some really nice things, as long as they are given time to work. The Bakemonogatari episodes that were streamed after the TV airing had some amazing animation as well, so I'm getting pumped for Kizumonogatari. I wonder what they can do with a movie.

The other thing of note is, well, the fantastic song. Ichiro Mizuki himself singing, haha! And to boot, they got the Kaiji narrator guy. Isn't it just a fantastic combo?

This is the first time I heard it wasn't a season. Frankly I'm sad but happy about the cast list and whole artwork.

Man! Bummer...

Anyways, the ED is SOO funny!! I have a feeling it's going to be editted some more before the broadcast. Is the singer Chiwa Saito? It sure sounds like it.

This should be in the current series thread now.

I hope they get to the stories where the art gets better soon.

There is weird, and then there is this. Since the hilariousness was proportional to the weirdness, I loved it. I totally lost it during the cinderella scene

Holy crap, I hadn't noticed Chiwa was the one voicing Chitan! I knew she was in this anime, but I had assumed she would voice a girl. What a terrific range! She did a outstanding job.

Meh... the jokes were more miss than hit for me. At times it felt like a lot of these jokes just dragged on when keeping it short and sweet would have served the humor better. Not impressed.

I wondered about why Mizuki Ichirou, such a big anisong name, would do this, and I also liked how it's being made into a parody tribute of the tokusatsu genre (specifically, Kamen Rider.)

Looking into it, I found that the classic Rider shows always had a modified human(kaizou ningen) as the titular hero, and quite a few of them had had OP themes by Mizuki. Tachiki Fumihiko, who plays the narrator here, had just come from a prominent role in the recent Kamen Rider W series voicing the eponymous belt device which the heroes transform with. And to press home the tribute, take a look at this, then compare it to the OP of Katte ni Kaizou:
