Yeah, though he'll be confused for a while

Well everyone in my town is a cousin, but just to clarify, second cousin (share the same great grandparents) and downward is pretty much no different than stranger, genetic wise. As long as we have 500 individual with relatively diverse gene pool, there's not much problem.

Westermark effect is refusal of sexual attraction developed during childhood. The inverse effect is Genetic Sexual Attraction, feeling a sexual attraction for relative you never met during childhood. Both are considered normal, if a little touchy subject.

Incidentally, Westermarck effect also apply to most childhood friend, that is. In real life, Unlucky Childhood friend are much more common than victorious one.

Side note - I had a childhood friend I had a crush on before. Granted, she was older than me by about 4 years, so that may be normal for kids.

Yes, though again, limited by the fact that you don't even know how you accomplish it, so sometimes it just doesn't work when you need to THINK about a change

Yeah, but Westermarck effect also affected by preset culture, this effect are much stronger in Americans than Japanese, for example. This does not affect childhood crush, rather, it affect sexualized crush during teenage days and upward to adulthood.

Oh yeah, I've been thinking about this.

A true one off ability for Byakushiki for me would be the ability to create a new AI that would grant a unique one off ability for the pilot. Hence allowing the Byakushiki to be the only unit with multiple one-off abilities. In essence, it allows for a multiple branching evolution instead of one path evolution.

I was thinking of the names before.

"Hakumei" - white tomorrow

"Hakumen" - white mask

"Hakurei" - white soul

The current winner for cool sounding is Hakurei. What about meaning? which one is best?

Normally I'd say yes, but the system is deeply tied to the pilot, Ichika. The system is the true ability born from Ichika's indecision. Unable to choose one path, he can switch between them so he can't use two or more one off abilities simultaneously.

The requirements for the creation of a new AI is simple and at the same time, difficult. The issue has to be deeply tied to the pilot and has to be pushing him to the brink of despair. Shiruka was born from the desperate desire to be more useful by knowing more. Setsura was born from the want of strength to protect his friends. Sae was sent to Byakushiki's core from a sister core via the IS network. The only reason they can coexist with each other in the same core is because of the one off ability of Byakushiki itself.

still ichika, Cecilia is a trained sniper. Though CQC isn't her best, she's overall someone I'd rather not face compared to Ichika outside of powered armor.

Well, face it, in a confined combat arena (LESS than 200 m in diameter where everyone move at hundreds of kilometers per hour), she suck because she's a specialized sniper. Outside of I.S. she's only have her speed, probably from her sniper training and playing Tennis.

Ichika and Houki have superpower lottery in their I.S., and outside I.S. they're still badass normal.
