Houki, Chifuyu, Madoka,...

You know what? They are all perfectly complement for him.

So if I gonna pair up Ichika with one of them, I`m gonna tone him up a bit. Is that okay?

Just thinking... What is the breaking point for us fanfic writers? When we all feel it's better to abandon everything. The good ones start their own original projects, while the bad delete their own.

Guess the the point is always be: Never take fanfiction serious.

Argh.. I hate to admit it, but you're right, fireminer.

Also, side note, I'm briefly back from camp, so I'm going into super post mode.

I agree

I'm just curious though why does so many people fell drawn to dragging Madoka to Ichika's side. Even I did that too but I have no idea why

There isn't going to be one. Ping gave up and with the way the LN's are going I doubt anyone really cares anymore.

Just look at the summary Flere posted on the LN thread: It's not like the actual novel's going to be much more than food porn, near-borderline hentai/porn, description porn of the outfits for the girls and Ichika's idiotic 'What do you mean?' where he acts clueless to romantic/plot related matters and proceeds to win by Deus Ex Machina or be the damsel in distress.

Let us of course not forget the genius 'plot' of the story, most of which is being ripped out of metal gear right now. Next thing you know we're going to see a dog AI that spouts philosophy about freedom.

After arguing with a few people in another thread I finally realize why nobody likes my fanfics.

I show them a door to a house and they keep trying to get in through the sewers.

Ripping off from Metal Gear... Actually, it's a good thing.

Quote:
Ichika waving enthusiastically to them, his left hand still holding the shovel downward.

"Everyone! You're here!" His smile were the brightest that they had ever seen. The pearl white teeth contrasted deep with the tanned skin. From his body, they could smell the scent of dirt, grass,... and everything could be found on a paddy field.

"Sorry, but I couldn't get to change." Ichika pointed to his shirt that had turned brown because of mud. "You came sooner than I expected. Anyway, Ito and Karen! Come here and greet your aunties!"

"Yes Papa! Hi, aunt Houki, aunt Cecilia, aunt Rin, aunt Charlotte, aunt Laura, aunt Tatenashi, aunt Kanzashi!"

The girls were choked to see the children. One boy and one girl, both about five or six, bowing their heads to them. And when they turned up, no one could see their expression - like a thick mist right in front of their faces blurred the lines. It was like two ghosts, but much more animated.

But what was more astonishing was the women behind them.

"Good morning! Did your trip go well?"

Chloe seemed as beautiful as ever. With the hair braided and her simple apron, she looked like a housewife more than ever. Especially those eyes, radiating a look that said kindness and forgiveness to everything.

Just like how she was when she still alive.

They say "WITS UROBUTCHER F---ED IT UP MEH I THINK NO THIS SHOW SUXXORS"

Thus, I show them the door, but they come in through the sewers. Because their bloody brains ooze filth.

and I believe the point between you two is that the writing is highly misrepresenting?

Depends on the genre andthe people you're inviting over. The ZNT archives in spacebattles surprised me at first: Rather than harem or romance the people there discussed the geography, time period, weaponry etc etc - All of this from a show that shoved more tits than even IS does over the course of 4 excruciating seasons.

Regardless blaming the readers for everything isn't right. Surely there's at least a few that read your work and it's better to accept readers from all sides.

The simpler solution: Writing your own original work. That way, no one could complain.

Say, wave, what make you stick with fanfiction so long? The number of decade-long author is little, and they usually stay in one or two series.

Maybe because original fiction is harder? You're given more freedom but everything has to come from you and you alone; it's easier to use an existing series as a crutch whether we like to admit it or not. Also, many original fiction stories are either ignored or are filled with Mary Sue's so it's hard. Check out the anime/manga section or action and romance section in Fictionpress.

romance is a lot easier to draw on existing tropes and capacity to be engaging depends wholly on the writer. In the case of anime/manga, it needs a lot of ingenuity and world building as well as balancing.

Can any of ya'll imagine IS as summoned creatures instead?

The problem with Original Fiction is that it's much easier for the writer to be tempted into wish fulfillment since unlike canon series you don't have to play by any preset rules. Want a dragon/angel hybrid? Nothing in your world that says it's against the rules unless you say so.

I've found MANY well-written stories bogged down by wish-fulfillment. There was a really big one where the kid moves into town and despite being described as somewhat creepy and off-putting he gets a harem of monster girls ranging from ghosts to dragons to the grim reaper's damned daughter.

And if you want summon creatures IS read 'Seirei Tsukai no Blade dance' since it has the same 'only females can do it excepting the MC' plot.
