@ Zero - A character is only a mary sue when the plot bends itself backwards for them. You can make a godly strong character but if they have limited appearances or they're a side character only then they're not mary sues. Many RPG's have them but they tend to go off on their own and not follow your more balanced party.
@ Meister - What the hell! That's so overpowered It reminds me of that guy from justice league who gains everyones powers except for Batmans (who lacks powers).EDIT: When did the Badass Normal concept get so popular? I wrote shadow when everyone was still writing about male IS pilots and power armor users. Now it seems like every male OC is going to be a badass normal.

I used a loophole about I.S. core, where guys can fight using an I.S. without violating the canon too much (as if I didn't do that already). Spoiler for Sub core:
Spoiler for Sub-core 2:

What you see here isn't that far-fetched. Because MPIS don't suffer from Equalizer-VS-Host Syndrome like Personals do, this was another way for massproduction units to close the gap between them and personals.
![]() Its a bit overpowered. But Infinite Stratos are all about self-evolving and breaking through with spiral superior firepower... So this is for the long run. Its not like its going to keep cloning powers, its limited by the machine's own ability to create new systems. Its not going to spam AICs and Reiryaku Byakuyas by the dozen on day 1. Its about making the most effective solution given the evolving situation and the available resources (and frankly, AICs and RBs aren't practical!) I find that this would be a smart solution, as crafted weapons are easily replicated and can be distributed to other IS in the Foundation.

I still consider Power armor users Badass abnormals sonce they can do things no mere human can't while the one's listed above use traits/abilities normal people can actually get. @ Meister - What if the IS fights things like human opponents or regular machinery like tanks? Can it still clone weapons from those?

Basically mass produce a well-proven system UNTIL a new system invented... which is not a long time considering it's sheer speed of adapting ability.
If only I can use this, too bad I cemented Razor on my story, there's no GL scale arms race, at best it would be like Gundam SEED. @ Eratas: Hence my inability to write a Badass normal OC, I'm bad enough at writing that any badass normal in my grasp will become a Sue.

This actually nerfs Vandam II in season 1, as it starts out with newbie weapons ie fags, solid slug weapons, BOFORS, rocket launchers. The only thing special about it would be the stock beam swords. Over time, it fights more 3Gs and 4G units, and it keeps coming up with solutions. Some of them will be hits that recur over and over, like the beam rifle, magnum and later the Buster Cannon. There will be silly gimmicks that are used once and Karon would swear never to use them again. And some times, Vandam II creates something which has her pilot and crew wondering, what is she thinking?! Its strength is in numbers and bolstering the masses: Quote:
Strength Through Solidarity. Finally, a Vandam that embodies the motto of the Asean Foundation. ![]() EDIT: To make things even more realistic, I'll have it using the same weapon packs as the Rafales in this fic I'm writing.

Uhh, guys. I know this may come out of nowhere, but exactly how do you guys see a "Yandere" from your own personal view?
This is how I see Yanderes from my view beneath that deceptive facade of thiers... And Ichika has to handle 5 Yanderes. Ugh!! |

@ Jak - Yandere's are clingy girls who are obsessed with their love interests and aren't afraid to kill people of necessary. Clingy jealous girls are just annoying but Yandere's are really threats.
@ Zero - The only way I can stop Irish from being a sue is by giving him abilities that end up crippling him in the long run and deconstructing each reason as to why he can even do these things. Hacking ability - Forced to learn as a kid or he would be killed. Acrobatics and combat skills - Come from a power suit that's slowly killing his body. Stoic in the face of death - Literally has no desire to preserve his own life whic most human beings are born with. Bishonen - Side effect of the suit due to hormonal imbalance. Everything has a reason and none of them are good. @ Meister - That makes sense I guess. I'm assuming this is only in the primary universe since there are badass normals in the alpha line universe right?

I'm not talking about Irish per see, I'm talking about how I handle ALL badass normal, Eras. You and many other author like Rain is able to create a convincing OC, I can't
![]() That aside, Maybe I should really scrapped idea about Dan being pilot...

I envy you for being able to create such characters from scratch, and whose of us really dare to create a bunch of Male OC that is INDEPENDENT of I.S. technology, Irish is the only one I knew.
Sorry if it's sounds like a whining. ![]() Both, nuff said.

For example, in a Gundam SEED fic, the OC is able to taking out 5 coordinators on foot even though he's being halflings (Natural father and coordinator mom). The problem is not the OC's excessive physical capability, but how I made the five coordiantors a bunch of weak morons. ![]() Basically, IF I create a bad-ass normal, chances that the rest will get a hold on idiot Ball and Worf Effect.

I have badass normals, I have the shitcanned runners, and then I have the whole force of scared-shitless-but-I-have-a-job-to-do! Which is actually the bread and butter of any real armed force.
![]() Thankfully, I don't have to focus on that too much beyond what is needed to drive the story. After all, mine's a teen flick featuring high school hijinks, idol singers, and friendship, but with scifi and shooting, at the same time.

EDIT: @ Meister - I thought that was only the AU? You said the new story was some kind of serious myth arc right?
