I think they're talking about services like Colorware who will paint your device for you.

Having already picked up my system this past Wednesday (I pre-ordered the Early Bird bundle), there's no need for me to attend one of the midnight releases.

My Vita has arrived.

Quick Impression:

- The screen is incredible. I mean wow totally exceeded my expectation.

- The device itself feels really solid and premium.

- The real meat is the OS though, it's fast I mean really fast. I saw no glitch or whatsover on the multitasking.

Overall solid device with solid OS. Now is time for me to play the games

Good thing I've hold out on getting a new PSP, this piece of crap is OOOOLD, the screen is like sand paper, the battery case is broken etc, I'm not even gonna embarrass my self by selling it, its going in the trash.

If you haven't done it already, play around with it by installing CFW. If you brick it, not biggie.

I recommend using a LCFW that way you don't brick it at all...

No need to be embarrassed, treat it as a test of courage ^^. I mean if they don't want to take it, just give it away on gumtree, craigslist or freecycle.

I.. can't even find it in my room ._. If I do, sure I'll give it away instead. Last time i saw it tho it could barely run my the games without the cartrage thing opening up randomly.

If you wanted to you could probably get a new casing on the cheap from deal extreme.

Amazon US are releasing a stylus pack for the Vita on the 5th of March; dunno if it (or other Vita-tailored capacitive touch pens) will show up in retail outlets (either there or in other countries, like here in Canada) though it would be nice.

Not sure how well a non-tailored capacitive stylus works on the machine; anyone consider trying one? (Might want to make sure you've got a screen protector on there first, just in case.)

Also, if you're trying to use Gmail on it, it may be an idea to bookmark the basic HTML login page; the Vita's web browser starts going a little funny with the standard version, but the lo-fi edition works fine.

Does the PS Vita have a web browser and allow people to check forums? Also, if the PS Vita has web access, can you go to internet radio stations and then listen to music off of your PS Vita from internet radio stations? Does it have anything like Pandora or Last.fm for iPhone? Are there plans for things like that for PS Vita?

PS Vita has an App Store, right?

Yes and no. PS vita browser is very basic you could surf the forums and website just fine but I don't think you could listen to internet radio stations from vita.

Vita is still in a very early stage of it's life. The implementation of the os is very neat and attractive but it clearly still need more polishing. Even the PS suite just recently been released. Sony do promise more app and support coming though.

Yes it has: Netflix, FB, Tweet, Foursquare, flickr, unlimited music, etc etc

I forgot to ask, how is the battery life for it? Isn't it pretty much the same as the 3DS battery life?

No. Battery life is around 4-5 hours depend on usage ( I played uncharted with default setting and get around 4hr+ ). Charge is really fast around 1 hour 15 minutes from completely empty battery

In the midst of their announcement of an upcoming PS3 app, Crunchyroll happened to mention that one was in the works for the Vita, as well.
