A handful advice considering Cypha, unlike Signum, is perfectly able to keep on fighting depite being stabbed in the guts xDU

Wonder if Cypha, in her rage, says something among the lines of "do you really think that's gonna work on me? I'm not as weak as you!"

So what kind of handicap will Signum have in their next fight? If being under physical rehabilitation still means she can dominate her, I don't know what else is left.

Assuming their regeneration is the "stupid" kind that lacks the required secondary powers to auto-correct for this, otherwise it won't work.

Their regeneration seems to be the kind they need to actually focus on and activate, almost like a healing spell. Answer: knock them out with a strong blow to the head.

I've said all along, that I think we give far too much credence to their regeneration abilities. We've seen exactly one person regenerate, and Cypha had to place her other hand on the spot and almost cast a spell to get her arm back. If Signum had kept up the pressure, Cypha might not have had time to get the arm back.

Also, turning into a lump of flesh seems to be the result of their regeneration going haywire, so I'm also betting they are very careful about how they use it.

Signum doesn't need another handicap yet, since (as Aki pointed out earlier) Cypha actually had a handicap this time: namely, fighting with Quinn's weapon rather than her own Divider/Reactor combo.

Well, Cypha is stated to have the ability to corrode metallic substances by simply touching them (hence the cracks on Laevatein the first time around), so yeah, those spikes wouldn't sit in for long if Signum didn't push the attack.

Well, seeing as the other experiments all turn into lump of flesh, the regeneration pretty much fall on the "stupid" kind.

That is more likely because of Leavatein's magical nature though. If said spikes aren't magical, they'd stay there.

That's irrelevant though, since she only had the opportunity for one attack.

She was actually fighting with both her sword and Quinn's. Though it appears she hasn't reacted yet.

Following that train of tought, what would happen if Signum cuts both of Cypha's hands at the same time xD?

Altough, the regenerative ability seems to be a passive skill in the case of Tohma who got blasted by Nanoha's most powerfull attacks one after another and emerged from all of them without a scratch xD

But Koveras is right about Cypha's profile saying she has the ability to weaken and corrod metalic substances. Probably the only chances she had to demonstrate said ability were against Laevatein (despite the whole "Laevatein is made of magic" theory) and against Quinn when her Divider breaks while trying to decapitate Cypha. Since her only other onscreen opponents were Fate with beam swords and a colossal chunk of Ice she hasn't the chances to really showoff that skill, tough xDU

Cypha is already reacted, she's using Quinn's reacted divider and also one of her reacted sword (cause it's in "spiky villain weapon" mode instead of the "cool katana" one xDU

I would posit the line of thought that says we didn't actually see if Thoma took damage and then regenerated from it, or if he delinked the magic before it hurt him, or if he defended against it with shields or barriers.

Note that DeVille took several cuts from Fate that he didn't heal up. At least, not immediately.

We didn't see him use his hands to "activate helaing" either. And becomes outright invulnerable when using Armorize xD

After long wait Chapter 24.5 has been finally translated in spanish so here's the usual modestly-written summary xD

Spoiler for Catch me if you can...:

Despite the horrible desing of Signum's AEC-Equipement it seems to at least do a decent job in keeping her alive in the face of the monster of Cypha. The fight was ...mhhh.. ok... i hate to tell this but Signum managed to be much more imposing and cool on their first encounter than on this one. She was clearly the underdog defending and backing away constantly the attacks coming from Cypha, this is partially understandable due to her currently weakened condition but still a bit jarring.

There's also some inconsistencies on the fight or at least unexplained changes. Back on Ch. 7 we were witnesses of how utterly useless Agito's fire magic was against the Eclipse, yet in this Chapter Agito's solo bombarding seemed to have some great influence on the tide of the battle despite she was de-unisoned and attacking by just herself. This is continuation of Ch. 20 where Agito was somehow able to block attacks coming from Tohma's fully reacted Divider. What the hell happened? did she learned some way to make real fire? a new AoE spell that manages to pass trough magic cancellation? I want an explanation!

Well, on the good side, is nice to see Signum still being capable of defending herself, even if she's a little bit weaker and clumsier (gone is her gracefull and elegant fencing with Laevatein, her new enormous cleaver only allows her to do linear slashes, her versatility is compensated by the shooting shield but not by much and she seems to be almost totally relying on that thing). Seeing Cypha actually working to deal damage was somewhat satysfing. She escaped so i hope at least Signum manages to fully recover before her next fight so she can deliver her usuall askickery instead of a nerfed version of it.

P.S.- oh yeah, a little trivia:

When Signum is injured by Cypha, part of her Knight Clothing is damaged along with Agito's, but one panel after that, when she shoots Cypha to make her step back, her clothes are ok, then on the next panel are damaged again ...oops! xD

Did Agito's fire do any actual damage to Cypha, though? Your summary read like it was only distracting her, making her split attention between Agito and Signum.

And IIRC Agito could make "real fire" all along.

Plausible, lol Signum is now a cheater too, tricking Cypha the same way she tricked her xDU

Cypha managed to dispell her multi fireball spell, she wouldn't be able to do that if it was real fire.
