hey any one knows whats up with the secretary of the.. umm Coronel? i dont know how to call the person with the highest rank in the military. well the guy the the patch in his eye i hope you know who im talking about. each ime the secretary comes Ed or Al just stare at her with ther mouth wide open, and she has this wierd water power i dont know if she is a homoculus or the Water Alcheimst

she sounds like their mother and looks like her... maybe they never had a real mother!! it was just a scam to make them work with the philosoper stone

and who was their teacher?? o this story is so good i hope they make atleast 46 chaps

Welcome to the FMA forums!

The Fuhrer is the highest ranking dude in the military, full named President King Fuhrer Bradley. My theory is that *he* is a homunculus himself, but that's not all that supported until now, and I'm probably really wrong ^^

As for the secretary, not sure what's up with her. If the Fuhrer is a homunculus, then his secretary is probably his croonie, like Greed and his three chimeras that we saw at the end of episode 22. Ed and Al are always shocked *because* she looks and sounds like their mother. I have no idea what's really going on with her, though. Pretty scary, the way she killed the Electroalchemist.

ok now back to FMA you know how the Fire guy is allways making Ed do everithing he wants and at the star Ed allways thinks he is diong it because of the stone? well maybe the whole mother thing was made so fuhre can become a human!! you know like glotony and the humoculus babe

maybe i will have to go buy the manga, umm no this story is not like naruto i will stick with the anime! any way thanks for the posts

I GOT IT! You know how scars brother created a homunculus that looks like his sister?(supposedly) Maybe when Al and Ed tried to revive their mom, they created a homunculus instead which is the secretary!

I'm sorry mate but I think there is no way that monster from the opening scenes is complete enough to be a humonculous. I don't know what happend to it ... but that 'thing' didn't look like the secretary.

What's disturbing is that the created-person was obviously gasping, and alive. And Ed always says how sorry he is about mother... Maybe he was successful, but she was stuck in that form for a bit. What happened? I'd like to see it!

As for who trained Ed and Al? If you look back, they show a silouette of her head. Also, they state Lust looks familiar in the beginning episode. It is my belief Lust trained them Alchemy somehow originally, to get them on the path to the Philosopher's stone. She could do that without using Alchemy herself, so nyah!

No it is not Lust. It is definitely definitely not Lust. The onscreen display of the Elrics' relationship with their Master is one of the things I am eagerly awaiting in the anime.

Since the timing might be off for certain subs, let's just say watch carefully the scene from when Winry arrives at the train station until she sees Major Armstrong.

If you really must know, in Episode 25, you'll find that the secretary's (with the pseudonym: Juliet Douglas) "sin name" is "Sloth."

I'm surprised they would change the story that much~But having a sin that looks like Ed and Al's mother is an interesting twist...This makes the much-talked about relationship between "Father" and the creator/leader of the sins even more suspicious~

Are you serious? The secretary is SLOTH? Wow, is that disappointing! I was expecting Sloth to look awesome, but here we have the SECRETARY? That sucks. Couldn't she have been Pride or Wrath?

I guess that proves my 'Fuhrer is Wrath' theory wrong. Oh well, I had it coming ^^

I have saved this image into my "WTF directory" just in case I ever wonder if it was only been a bad dream, and have removed it from the forum. Hopefully Lexander will never do this again!
