Just a feeling.
I think Balisong and Scramasax should look very unbalanced while wielding both.
Anyone agree with me!?

Well, I mean the size. A balisong is just a small pocket knife, but a scramasax is a long knife, long like a sword.

I suppose that recoil from shooting desert eagle shouldn't be too different from shooting 3-bullets in 92FS at once, but I'm not sure.

Well haimaki is probably one of the most lovable pets, that I have read about, he is well behaved, care for his master, is loyal, and it seems he likes to be patted.
Also we have to remember, I think in the novel they mention the extinction of this species. So he should not have any exp in a pack of wolves in the forest.

And his eagle has been modified as well so it should be able to fire 3-bullets at once too.

it being a sword standard? the variety used is not the long version that was found in the early years since it cant be concealed in your clothes but what was used is the short one... probably like this

Kinji... KUKRI. NAO.

Looking back, I think I over-exaggerated Osaka-ben.

Oh well, I'll follow the Sakuya model.

Anyway, just to doublecheck, what is the kanji for irokane? Is it "iro" as in multi-colour, and "gane" as in the shortform for "hagane", meaning metal?

Never shot a .50 AE before, but I know 9mm doesn't have alot of recoil if your firing stance is correct (transmission of force straight down arm into shoulder, blah blah blah). 3-RB shouldn't be a problem, but I heard that a .50 AE fired from a Deagle with a 10-inch barrel can break your arm if it isn't thick enough.

色金(イロカネ)

It's just colour. Not multi-colour. And, it's just the kane which means metal.

All mentions in the novel are in katakana.

You know Japanese, right? Just check the wiki.

But not enough to read anything without kanji. Things go to hell when katakana and hiragana start popping up from nowhere.

'Tis a long road.

Also, have you memorized all the pronunciations for kanji? I know what they mean, but I don't know how to pronounce all of them.

Doesn't really affect my reading ability for >light novels, but severely impairs everything else.

The dreaded actual conversation with members of society eh?

Well that's the trade off you get learning Japanese with a Chinese background I guess...
