It's more like a temporary upgrade than a permanent power up.

Basically, instead of the usual dialogue between Ise and someone's breasts, it becomes a kind of conference call where all the people involved can hear one another. That's how Kunou's voice reaches Yasaka.

Final tally on those theories:

Theory 1: Rossweiss revives Issei for Ragnarok.

Theory 2: Opfis will sacrifice herself to get Issei to come back from the dead.

Theory 3: Issei won't be revived at all in the final arc (Bathara I think did this theory).

Theory 4: Opfis will hijack the protagonist role (my theory just for sheer lulz).

I think that was about the entire thing if I remember correctly, generally speaking.

Just to play devil's advocate, I proposed the opposite theory that Ise's essence is in those pawn pieces. In other words, instead of Ise losing the pieces, Ise lost his body.

This would allow a possible scenario of Ise wandering around in spirit form "I see dead people"-style until he regains a new body. Then we don't miss out on Ise's narration but still get all the reactions and the action focuses on the other members. There would also be plenty of perversion potential.

Finally, many of the resurrection theories can be applied to how a new body is obtained.

theory 20: Maou and god revive him before he reaches the afterlife like he's at the border and they combine their powers to bring him back.(Dragonking).
theory 21draig transferred his powers to Ise and Ophis used a rebirth type power turning Ddraig into an egg (dragonroots)
theory 22:Ise himself return as a egg and the girls have to take care of it(endarion88)
theory 23: the evil pieces return through the drangons gates was because samaels poison was expulse to the evil pieces in order to make Ise live.(latos1117)
theory 24: Ise become a egg and do the same a Agumon() reborn and grow the same vol with less memory and come back (the memory) thanks Rias oppai ...(or something like this).
theory 25: The true queen(CcQ) is a true queen piece and become his new piece(i think that was another one).
I think this where all the theory ...more or less.

Edit:zzhk @ The problem they don't have time for this plus without Ise help i can't see them survive on this. No to mention that he had to come back in this vol and the title of this vol don't match so much on this kind of scenario that you say.(I don't say it's impossible ...just I see this unlikely ...at least this not get solve in this vol ).

Considering the number of ultimate class devils, the fate of the Underworld itself cannot hinge on Ise's survival.

Within the Rating Game, the Top 10 are all ultimate class, of which the Top 3 are Maou equivalent in power. Outside of ultimate class, you have top tier people like Grayfia and Venerana Gremory who doesn't participate in Rating Games. And then there's the Four Maou and their legendary beast servants (Kirin, Bahamut, Behemoth, Kujata, etc).

Furthermore, the Underworld is shared between the devils and the fallen angels. On the fallen angel side, you have Azazel and his best buddies Shemhaza and Barakiel. Not to mention all the Sacred Gear users Azazel has gathered over the years. Top tier Longinus user Slash Dog with his Zenith Tempest.

A single individual is not going to change the tide of war.

Of course, in an individual battle, you can have Ise appearing to save the day for the Gremory team but obviously such a scene will not happen anywhere near the beginning of the volume.

Plus still you don't answer why you think that samael curse make Ise lost his body. THis is not the first time you say this (if i remember right) and I'm curios what make you think this.We have no evidence that the curse can do this.A this point would make more sense that the 8 pawn piece seal Ise himself inside them(body as well). I mean we do know from legend that devil can be seal a whole.

@ soji who made theory 8 its pretty obvious ise will turn to a fallen angel in a millisecond after angelization infact i believe the guy will grow 16 fallen angel wing when and IF that happens lol

I think I save that post that's way we can see who get close to the true in vol 12.(afterall i think we wrote all the theory). In case there is more just say and I add the new theory.

zzhk@ But we don't see clue about this happen. And no Ddraig or Ophis say this. Come on,if that's was the case i think Ddraig or Ophis will say this or we start to see this happen to him in vol 11.(i don't say this is impossible just that would be stupid without build up). And poison kill no eat away.

The only thing we see was him lost some blood...nothing more nothing less. And like I say ,Ophis and Ddraig would said something like this.

^No .If something like that happen Ise would say that or even Ddraig. I think being eating away by the poison and feel you're own body be consummate in the real sense of the word would be like....being split apart cell by cell.And i think we would see /read something like this if that's was the thing happeing in the end of vol 11.

No matter how many theories you throw, I still have the bad feeling this one is the most accurate one (number 3)...
I hate my gut feelings, they usually turn out true.
I doubt the author will kill of one of the best MC that was ever created (and the best MC for this series), but I think he could really pull of an arc (1-2 volumes) where the objective would be to bring back Ise (through some hints thrown at Rias near the end of vol. 12).
Of course logic can't be applied to this series, but still....

..Anyway...short story there is no way that the author don't bring ise back now(in this vol).....we talking about one year otherwise. And the LN would die for sure. if you guy's want this...by my guest and hope the author do this.
But like I say more than one time ...that route would be the more stupid route ever for the author to take.This ln don't fit this....plus when the manga come to that point will be like 1 year or 2 without Ise.
All the foreshaodwing and set up would be trow out of the window. IF happen....ok I will be the first to say you guys where right and I'm wrong. But in all honestly I would find this a troll and just pointless in more way than one.

I have been following what has been said on DxD for at least a good 50 pages, and would like to throw in what I think.

1st I believe Issei will not die.
2nd Someone will break Issei out of the void (don't care if it is the void or another dimension, as basically each is as bad as each other.) or while Issei is unconscious he will picture Rias and want to sleep with her, rub her breasts or some other ecchi action so much he somehow rips open a dimensional hole. Though someone is more likely
3rd That someone will be someone who has great respect for Issei
4th That the dragon gate failed and wasn't attuned to Issei
5th Issei still has his 8 pawns inside him as they reached something like the maximum evolution and thus created new pieces which then was taken by the failed dragon gate.

or

something will happen which we shrug off as it is too simple or something we never suspected and if we did we are liars.
