What a weird series. I didn't even notice that the first episode is 3 minutes long until the OP played a second time. Haha.

I was unaware the TV series OP was actually a cover.

But given the trend these days, perhaps I shouldn't have been.

I just noticed now that Chihiro's hairstyle is actually really similar to Estelle's.

Chihiro is very business savvy. Fanning under skirts on a hot day...

And "concert Mayu" was pretty amusing.

I also agree that it is too short and yes, they are re-using some OVA content.

Even so I do not mind continuing to follow it.

On ep 7, the moral lesson is: your ideal love could be closer than you think (and always available too)

Amazing 10th episode. I find it really stunning that they manage to pack so much in just 3min, and that is including OP, although no ED.

Hmm ... well ep 10 did seem better than previous ones.

Although the previous ones aren't bad per se for me they are nothing to write home about.

Well, it's only 3 minutes or so and lighthearted. I don't mind continuing to follow it ... at least I have a little better idea of what is going on than Copihan.

Looks like another season has been announced. Since it's all shorts, not an urgent need to create a new thread just yet.

Yeah ... I agree about no need for creating a new thread, this one hardly received any traffic this season, but then this seems the type of show where there really is not much to discuss about it - its pretty "straightforward" content wise.

For it's shortness, I liked this show. But, the shortness is also its major drawback: whenever they set up a joke, the episode is over before they can deliver a proper punchline and character development is pretty much zero. But, I thought all the characters were likable and the show had a lot of good moments.

But, the shortness does have advantages: you can watch the entire series in less time than you'd need for two regular-sized episodes.

I like this show and the characters, because it is relatable. You have the girls with their issues and you have the boys fantasying about the girls. Pretty normal if you ask me. But what is genius is that the viewer never see Mayu speaking, obviously she does talk or else she won't be able to order that strawberry cake in one of the episodes.
In a way I think this is the only series that can be passed as slice of life show this/last season.

Nichijou? o_O

I agree that the silent (but highly communicative to the audience) protagonist was an ingenious idea. I don't think she's a mute either but she could have ordered the cake just by pointing out in the menu >_>

If i had to put Nichijou into a box, I would regard Nichijou as a comedy show like keroro gunsou, ika musume and that sorts. Main reason is because some of the things in the show are fictional, like nano, who is a robot, or sakamoto with the speaking convertor.

I really liked this little series. The only complaint I would have is that the shortness of each episode left me wanting more.
