Self realization slice of life anime or manga

Do you know any manga or anime where the character does some soul searching to find himself, which makes him think maturely.I really want is slice of life but I think other genre is fine.

Tatami Galaxy. The entire focus of the story is one man's attempt to find himself and his place in the rose-colored college life.

Haibane Renmei perhaps. The whole point of the Haibane existence is to come to some sort of self-realization, I suppose.

I would recommend:
Tatami Galaxy - Groundhog loop style
5 Centimeters Per Second - Learning to move on from first love (the hard way)
Angel Beats - Trying to resolve and accept unfair lives
Clannad: After Story - Trying to mature and become an adult after graduation
Colorful - A second chance to fix family issues
Honey & Clover - Soul searching by exploring the country with a bike
Only Yesterday - Soul searching by trying a countryside life and considering her childhood
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time - Learning that "Time wait for no one"
The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya - Learning that he actually prefers an odd life.

I would also add all of Shinkai Makoto's films.
