Either way, I prefer the manga art style, but I guess that's only me (>.>)...

I'm still not seeing it. The art style and proportions of those chars in that image looks nearly the same as the one on the tbs website. I dont' see much of a difference to complain about.

I think a lot of people are complaining because in this Spring season we had a studio named SHAFT that adapted this novels illustrator Buriki's character design much, much better than just having similar art style and proportion:

More like the coloring, I guess.

It -would- be nice if they used the original style but before Denpa Onna, we put up with all of the same anyway. The anime art isn't that bad, could have been worse. I'm more worried about if they can execute the punchlines correctly.

Yes, the coloring is the worst thing about this visual. It should have looked like this:

Spoiler for Fixed:

I just noticed the lack of check pattern on the skirts.

According to Comic Alive, what studio is doing this ? I guess it should be Xebec.

I'm all for wanting art styles to be good or similar to the original but people really expecting to see Buriki's style pasted onto a animated series, is a little crazy.

Sure Shaft have done a great job with Denpa but if I was being totally honest it still doesn't compare to Buriki's original art.

But then I like to think everyone understands that anime art will in general be inferior to manga/LN art.

either way the art is big plus but it's the interactions and comedy that sells this series.
Like Mizuno says gotta hope they "they can execute the punchlines correctly."

^The problem is that this doesn't even come close to Shaft's Denpa either. If it weren't for Shaft raising the bar so high, I suppose we probably wouldn't complain as much.

I listened to the drama CD last night, and love the voices!

At first, I thought Hikasa Youko might be more suitable for Yozora, but Marina is perfect! Her belittling tone is just as I imagined. My only complaint is that her soft, dere mode is little higher on the pitch though; it's like a different range that it felt odd.

Sena's tsun mode is totally Fumino-ppoi (Mayoi Neko).

HanaKana's Kobato = imagine Kuroneko's chuunibyou speech pattern in Shiemi/Charlotte range (kukuku)

Rika and Maria and Kodaka are all ok. Maria mode is that airhead girl in Ichiban Ushiro no Dai Maou - a little more boisterous and a little more higher pitch. Yukimura doesn't have that many lines, which may be the reason why I don't find her him that impressive.

^Wish I could listen to it...

I didn't know of Kanae Ito back then, but I did like Fumino's voice (hated her silly catchphrase though). Should be good then ^_^

bummer, how come I never thought of that? in fact they are the same!

So Iguchi Yuka and Hanazawa Kana are doing reprising roles of a different title.

Was drawn to this thread because the novel seems to be very popular. The synopsis of this novel makes it sound like a harem-romcom. The list of VA's for this series according to ANN further endorses this notion.

I -may- check it out when airs but I don't have too high hopes as it's not really my genre of choice. Great, cute art though.
