I do not have a console myself so I got the PC port of the game.
Unfortunately the port was so poorly done which completely ruined the game for me: the menus were very slow and the controls just did not feel right.

I am willing to give DS2 a try if the port is more refined.

You used a controller to play? or used the Keyboard?

Not sure about it, but i saw that when you level up, and the weapon level up..the moves that you can do are different, the color of the weapon when you fight and hit the enemy change, the Death level up like in a GDR game... for the weapon as well...enemie killed leave on the ground weapons, and armor...

I'm currently playing this game now..and i can say that is really well done.

The graphics is good, the gameplay is like Darksider 1, to make a combo you have to use one or two buttons,or maybe you have to hold a trigger an use one or two button, going on in the game, you will unlock new powers, that will be useful in fighting, and get to places that were impossible reach..

The level up of Death is really well done, at the first gameplay you can reach the level 22, at the second you can reach the 30, when you level up all statistic level up,like strength, defense, resistance........ level up given you a point, you can use it to increase the skills, not only for fight with weapons..but also for use necromancers powers.

Weapons...there are many weapons in this game, fast and slow weapons, which confer different attributes, and special ability..for example a weapon that when you hit the enemy regenerates energy, regenerates a necromancers powers, give you *15% of strength...the same thing is for the armour, divided into many pieces, every piece has his personal attributes, and every weapon and armor has a level..then there are weapons that can be customized, sacrificing other weapons, creating the weapon with the attributes that you want.

Sides quests..there are so many, secrets as well...i give 9/ 10 to this game..this is the second chapter and for me is really well done.

I borowed this game from a buddy for a PC. What a dreadful port, rare to see such an empty graphical option selection. Still, game runs fine, with lags here and there.

Haven't played much, but it's enjoyable so far. Not really a fan of platforming elements but that is something I had to deal with the first game as well. Still, Death is a much more interesting character then War, for me at least. He is fast and agile plus his design is kickass. Looks like un updated Skeletor from Masters of the Universe 2002. The RPG stuff that they added was a good idea. Equiping an armor that changes his apperance was a nice addition indeed. ^^

Really hope that we get a chance to play as Fury in the next game.

THQ's current predicament is evident towards the end of the game, I must say.

In terms of gender, theres nothing really going for her, and Fury is the WOMAN I think. Fury or the gun one.

And god if they make her sexual I'm done. Uriel ftw.

I could imagine playing both, Strife and Fury in a possible 3rd game. Switching between the two (or co-op play) to use their individual abilities to solve puzzles sounds like a good idea to me.

Similarly, for the fights, switching between the two in order to exploit enemies' weaknesses to the rider's different weapons would be really nice.

Make them some kind of an odd couple and you have an instant intriguing (maybe even comedic) character dynamic because tbh I'd prefer something different from the usual "lone bad-ass that kicks all kinds of ass" formula. Ofc they'd still kick ass but in between maybe manage to put a smile on my face.

As for DS2:

Really enjoyed it, great art design, good combat, impressive length considering today's single player standards and a great number and variety of short but intelligent puzzles. The low texture quality and the mouse/keyboard controls (PC obviously) didn't bother me that much as I got used to both very soon. What rather bothered me was the unimpressive final boss (in presentation and difficulty) , the ending and overall the flat plot.

They can't possibly make another prequal with those two, it wouldn't make sense. they will have to be in the sequal which will also have war and death.

Everyone that play this game...i recommend getting a weapon called Black Demise Scythe, the weapon is in Soul Arbiter's Maze Floor 5 Treasure secret..all level have a secret, is like this, level 1 secret win, level 1 normal win, then go to level 2 secret, then level 2 normal....until the level 10...there are 10 level, but with the secret level in total are 20, the weapon called Black Demise Scythe is one of the best items in the game for a level 15 character..,you regenerates life just when you hit.
