I've decided the most amusing thing about the entire show has to be how hard Shu struggles not to look at Inori. Its like he has a war with his mind over it and its hilarious especially when you notice that his eyes are jerking around in that one scene because he is trying to force them to move up but they don't listen.

Also thinking most of the void rules where made up on the spot especially that 17 and under rule that seems slightly...arbitary I guess?

I'm expecting another Lelouch video screen talk.

I think this is more a cultural reference when pertaining to Japan. CG is 2-dimensional whereas a doll is 3-dimensional. I remember some shows where otakus distinguish their love for 2-D girls over 3-D girls, and this could be a reference to that. Also, if you take an English approach, calling a person 2-dimensional is not really nice.

Oftentimes, looking into the eyes is like looking into the soul of someone. Probably in this case, when the other person is looking into the Void user's soul, the Void user can then reciprocate by taking their soul (void).

Yeah, the rules are very unusual, and someone on the thread has already theorized on the 17 and under rule. It has to do with maturity and mental state of mind. Void power depends on the person's heart and state of being. I guess they need some sort of child innocence. Which reminds me, why is 18 years old determined to be the age that you are considered an adult?

Edit Additional Comments:

The ending credits seems to add a little more side story for episode 3. It shows Shu apologizing to Kanon, the class representative. She seemed almost laughing about it, so maybe she likes Shu more than she shows.

The only reason YOU can see it is because your browser still has it in cache; everyone else will get a hotlink image.

^ did Inori just invade an enemy base again alone? maybe this could explain how can she slip through the enemy base when she stole the void genome.

It'd actually make sense if the restriction was he could only pull it out of anyone undergoing puberty. But that just sounds kind of wrong in a TV-show

From snippets from the first episode, she appeared to have a personal cloaking device/ability, which allows her to slip through. However, since she does not have it on all the time, you can assume that it is limited in duration. As of yet, we still do not know what other abilities she might have.

if it's just stealth setting then I think the whole organization or the foot soldier has those. Like the one they use to sneak around the opponents in episode two but I think that still won't help if Inori is invading a base specially that if it's a military secret which they are stealing. The void genome must be in tight security if you ask me because its special with only 3 as of yet exist. And I doubt stealth setting will be much help though probably Gai plan something and a plot device helps it from stealing.

But it also will be good to see Inori in action because she's been pretty much useless doll since after the time Shu drew out her void. Time for some lady action

A little late to the party it seems, but I just finished watching ep. 3. Doll-like or not, Inori is adorable. Though overall, I'm loving the visuals in this one.

Also, (though I didn't read the rest of the thread) am I the only one that really likes the OP? The visuals are nice, but I really dig the actual music/lyrics. The song they used for ep 1 was really great too.

I really like the music, the vocals are nice even if I prefer Nagi to Koeda (I think?), the Engrish is a bit annoying though.

Not alone, Gai and Ayase in her new Endlave will be supporting her.

I like the opening as well the vocals are good and while I think Nagi is a great singer I like Koeda singing as well.

And here I was hoping to see Inori pull a Rambo. Well on the bright side it looks like we will have some mech action next episode.

Yeah, I would like to see a little more concerning how come she was chosen to do such a difficult mission by herself. It is still possible that they had inside help, who ended up giving her the Void Genome to transport out. We won't ever know, unless they decided to go back and discuss that portion.
