I'm gonna make an assumption about how this manga ends: Tatsumi dies. But not killing someone. I think he will expose himself, and take the blame of all of Night Raid's crimes on his shoulders, therefore allowing the survivors to live safely.

However, for this to happen, a couple factors would be necessary.

One: A good king in command, and a reformed Esdes to provide military support (god help anyone who tries to ruin the peace Tatsumi died to create)

Two: A new set of laws governing the nobles and curbing their sins

Three: Tatsumi would have to have done something huge, like behead the PM on the top of the palace.

Nahh.

Considering you need to kill the PM, probably along with the emperor for the empire to be reformed (maybe made it republic), your speculation is simply impossible.

And killing the PM would make everyone happy and make him the hero anyway. How many people do you think hate the PM?

I don't think it'll ever end well for the emperor either, the revolution army would just kill him and COMPLETELY transform the country.

Come on, your suggestion is just depressing, but in noway realistic. And is it actually happens then I guess everyone who's being tortured and killed by the PM lackeys kinda deserve it for being ungrateful bastards.

Agree with all this. I mean ,I know that this manga work in this way with dark theme but something like that would be pretty stupid. Though ...there is still the chance that both of them die in the end. I hope no....hope that they survive and can live ...some how in peace after all this mess with the other survivor.

Actually i think that if Tatsumi dies after all the night raid/revolutionary army vs kingdom problems are solved, Esdes will go on a epic killing spree destroying everything that is in front of her

Esdes love Tatsumi is very large, she is serious about this relationship. So the chances of her switching side is also large. What about Tatsumi, is he reciprocating her feelings as well?

Did I miss something along the way? Because I'm pretty sure Night Raid is comparable to the boogey-man for common people.

And the reason this is realistic (ha, it's a manga) is because everyone in Night Raid has admitted from the very beginning that they themselves are "evil". Does it really not make sense for Tatsumi to consider himself part of the old corrupt kingdom that has to disappear?

That would be a stupid route and chose. I mean we already have so many deaths and you even want one idiotic like this? No really in this kind of manga it's the last thing I aspect and i would be pretty disappointed if happen.
No to mention would be something really bad to do again his death comrade . If he survive he had to live for them as well. Take his own life like this would be like run away. But this is what i think.

You seem to taking the main character too seriously, he hates the capital and it's ways but he's not a full blown revolutionist (as in he's not a die for the cause sort of guy he even made a declaration about survival), he still has a goal of protecting his town providing them money etc, basically he's in a fucked up situation and he's trying to make the best of it. The dude doesn't have lofty ideals for the people etc he justs wants to live happily under a better governemnt, he's not an idealist. He's fighting just as much as for his happiness and those around him as he is for the country at large.

Thanks for the photo Velial, I didn't think she would look that adorable. Looks like she is having fun with Tatsumi. XFire, I think everyone is trying to get is that Tatsumi started out simple heading on his goal then it went haywire later on. He is trying the best he can in his situation, after seeing the Capital for what it is, he wants to try and help change it. Nightraid's goal is to make a better country by doing the dirty work. I don't think they said themselves were evil, but just killing is killing even if you have justification.

TBF it's not really about whether night raid is evil or not, assassinating people is simply a dodgy business that will always leave a person morally torn as shown where he saw the kid of person person he just killed. No matter how you look at it people aren't entirely evil, so you will always be haunted by the lives you took. That sort of shit may eventually get to him, I just don't see him doing it for the people.

And this is another reason on why I say * that would be run away*.Is easy kill himself and run away from everything.

Everyone but Tatsumi admitted that they're murderers. Tatsumi looked up to them and thought they were heroic vigilantes, and that's when they had to correct him.

TBF that doesn't really refute his point, though it doesn't make them evil, that's like saying Soldiers in a war are "evil", sometimes morally dodgy in regards to certain wars (though they don't get much of coice in regards to who they want to fight), but they obviously aren't evil.

Their just getting their hands dirty with experiences that'll likely haunt them for the rest of their lives it doesn't neccesarily send them suicidial though it can in some cases. In real life most revolutionaries don't end up killing themselves after they've won (humans typically aren't that idealistic), hell a lot of the time in real life the revolutionaries are just as bad as the people their trying to overthrow, a pretty substantial number of todays dictators where revolutionaries, many even had the support of the people.

Well prime example to Tenchi Hou Take explanation is Fidel Castro. Not all revolutionaries are bad, but majority are. It happened all the time during the Cold War, Russia supported Communist Revolutionaries everywhere while the United States Government just tried to contain the situation to avoid Nuclear War. Pretty Naive, though in the Manga if you want something done you will have to take action which is what Tatsumi is doing. It will solve his problem overall, his main goal was to save and provide for his village, pretty hard to do if the Capital is corrupt so take out the corrupted then you solve both problems.
