Man this is a weird mech show.

In any case though it seems the BETA have the advantage regardless.

Destroyer class which is pretty much invincible in the front which forces you to jump and attack them which leaves you open to Laser or grapple attacks.

How is it that the humans can even fight them in the first place?

Do you have other Ditzy typical Female Slice of life protagonist, or generic harem protagonist that you'd like to see fed to the Muv-Luv world?

Odds are, Yui dies by the second chapter (the first chapter would be her as a ditzy cadet), or she'll be so broken as to be forced into OOC territory, since it's hard to imagine what a broken Yui would be like. Perhaps a colder, hyper-efficient, ruthless Dark version of Ui? Especially if her sister was thrown in, and fell in the same battle, eaten infront of Yui, forcing Yui to go into a roaring rampage of revenge she barely survives.

Episode 2. Replace the Yui of Eclipse with the Yui of K-on.

Should there be a Muv Luv fanfic thread, I imagine there'd be hordes of fanfics dedicating themselves to these thought experiments.

Even an idiot like Yui Hirasawa (K-on) or Makoto (School Days) would either be BETA food, or completely different characters after a year in Muv-Luv. Odds are, many would die in their first Episode 2 Type situation.

Make sure it's not Ikaros (Angeloid type Alpha) from Sora no Otoshimono.

Tyranids would win.

Anything from the 40K universe is 10x OP.

They'd just send in wave after wave of gargoyles until all of the laser class BETAs are covered in corpses.

The rest would just tear the BETAs to pieces.
