Saimoe Japan seemed to not like breasts, but maybe they changed.

Mami winning is fine too.

Pick: Mami
Prediction: Mami

I wonder how much effect the meme had. Similar instances have happened in past years.

Hmm. You look at a Saimoe video like this... then you think about how things have turned out:

Spoiler:

If I am not mistaken, this video was made after the conclusion of the first prelims. Some did better than expected. Others - not as fortunate. Either way, watching that video kinda made ya look back into this year's edition.

Goes to show how much Saimoe changed this year. And if you count different fan artworks, Kyouko isn't a DFC. I guess Mami would make Nodoka really happy, accomplishing a feat even she hasn't done.

I woe for Madoka and Homura though, they're Prelim Vote Counts showed that they'll get finals but Homura got screwed (actually everyone in that Block did) and Madoka got way too rusty since she was never tested properly.

@zato_1one

Stalker / yandere Homura looks weird, she seems like the kind of person who will lock Madoka in a room to keep forever.

On the tournament, I think it's only a matter of time before Mami wins this.

Saimoe voting participation has been trending downwards for a while now, the response this year has been anemic at best. 1600 votes combined for both semi finals when you use to get 2000+ for at least one?

I think it have something to do with an interest getting lower by the year, something like /a/ stopping to care and the foreign voting base getting lower since more country-wide ban got into effect. I know for sure that I have been excluded from voting in 2006, could vote in 2007 and had no interest in 2008, 2009 and 2010. I only know what happened in 2011 from word of mouth, so seeing Mami making it to the finale is pleasing to me, the oppai lover.

Mami Tomoe... "Mommy! Too moe!" It's a fair decision. I think she has earned it.

(Note: the video I posted on YT muted my audio, so I am giving you the video hosted on Veoh instead.)

Suddenly I get the feeling Kyouko could take this. There's something I need to check.

Fanart doesn't really count, she is pretty flat

I am sure there is still a sizable faction of saimoe voters that are against boobs winning saimoe.

Today's match: Sakura Kyouko vs Tomoe Mami

Here we are finally at the final match. This match will decide which Puella Magi will take home the grand prize. In terms of total votes received throughout the tournament, Kyouko and Mami are almost tied. Mami has shown a higher peak at over 700 votes against Ika Musume to Kyouko's 650 on Kuroneko. In terms of minimums, Kyouko has gone below 400 once while Mami and just barely managed to always stay above. Mami already has some experience in fighting a Puella Magi when she had to deal with Madoka in the previous round. It was a close call but Mami won. She didn't do as well as I thought she would, though. Mami should be the favourite in this match but I'm getting the feeling she's not going to be able to pull it off. I think somehow Kyouko is going to find a way to win.

Vote: Tomoe Mami
Prediction: Sakura Kyouko

Even in a same series semi-final, one could turn against the other without warning. Let's see if it will happen again in the finals.
I'm giving my support to Kyouko, although Mami is my prediction.
