Haven't got my hands on the chapter yet but reading those spoilers, I would say that it fits the tone & atmosphere of the whole series very well.

Well done I would say. Just hoping volume 7 gets sold here soon...

The ending made me nostalgic and felt empty. Oddly, since that effect is caused upon me only when I finished seeing anime that leave a mark in my mind.

Remembers Gunbuster, Mahoromatic, plus a few others...

Anyway, returning to the subject, there were a thing or two that confuse me about the ending...

Daisuke Moriyama did it!

He added a conclusive epilogue after the end of Act 56 in Volume 8 of the manga.

It fully and visually narrates what became of each of the characters.

I know this because I saw these information on Vero-chan's site.

well, that's the tankouben ending... however I heard some the Chrno Crusade fans saying that the tankouben ending is a bad addition to the manga and not what the author wanted... and that the original serialized manga ending is the best.

I think it's hard to say whether tankouben ending is better than anime ending or not... the last two pages posted up on that Vero-chan's Astral Contract Webpage is quite misleading too...

Perhaps bitter sweet. And finally we found out who the "narrator" of the story is (remember the narration on the picture that the four of em were together in?). Azmaria grown up is quite beautiful =)

Either way, they're together at the very end, and time was all they had.

At the end of act. 56, is it grown up Rosette or Azmaria the woman that is holding the broken time clock? 2. Did Chrno ever returned to Rosette after the fight against Aion? or did he died in the explosion? 3. What became of Joshua, Azmaria, & Satella after the fight was over? 4. In the anime, Rosette commented that she will not be able to live past her age 30. Supposedly this was true in the manga, Rosette used all her lifetime to unseal Chrno's power.
