Unfortunately, that's most likely not going to happen. It'd be awesome no doubt. Robot Damashii Gipsy Danger? Hell yes I'd buy one. But the Robot Spirits line doesn't seem to include western mecha.

New featurette, showing the sets used for the Jaeger cockpits. Very awesome video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcsFMTjgsCM

Ya know for a while the size of the cockpits was a turn off for me. But this video really sells it well. It's like with each bit of footage or news, my little mecha fan pet peeves are vanquished

What pet peeves were those? That mecha cockpits are supposed to be impossible jet seats where the complex motions of a bipedal machine are controlled through foot pedals and throttle slides?

I've been fine with the motion control piloting of the Jagers for a while now.

Well technically speaking Gypsy Danger has a chainsword and Crimson Typhoon has three hands that transforms into drill claws.

So does this mean that they're finally ramping up the marketing campaign?

Yep. Del Toro posted a message at the beginning of the May stating that the marketing campaign had begun, albeit a bit slowly. I'm sure after the Man of Steel hits theaters, it'll be all things Pacific Rim for the month of June.
