You know what I think would be sweet? IBRS gets "cured" and turns into BRSB, so we get the full set of (huke original) BRS incarnations! The more I play with the BRSB figma, the more awesome I think she is.

Some Points:
1) People with alternate self do not age. (They are a beyond human existence)
2) Yuu has merged enough of her existence into the other world that she becomes a very weak existence in the real world.
3) Saya's appearance is deceiving (She just "appears" to be older, using disguise, but she is actually young as well.)
4) At one point in time..... Mato and Yomi has direct control over the BRS and DM but they lost their memory and lost the link.

Basically Mato knows Saya, Yuu and Yomi before and are friends with them, but for some reason (I think this reason has something to do with Yuu), Mato lost her memories and lost her direct connection to BRS. Mato knows Saya from before, but Mato forgot about Saya and Yomi.

Therefore Saya is trying to save her friend Mato by trying to ignite Mato's memory using various methods.

In the end Mato is going to remember who she is.. and becomes friends with Saya and Yomi again.
That's a very well made theory. I dunno if it's right, but I really do hope it is.

Seconded. Raging like no tomorrow that her real-world self has been erased (her other world self had a great design to boot).

Regardless this show is quickly approaching "2 deep 4u" status.

so much is happening. The episode really drained me, it was too much for me.

I know BRS's song tells about how everything she has is gone, but it still gives hope in the end that a new story starts. I'm thinking that's what we're going to see in the last two episodes.

Daaamn, they didn't give any preview of the Real World, just the fight between Rock and Strength.

You know a series is good when you can't wait for the next episode despite watching the new one not even minutes ago

I personally don't think Mato is going to accept that. I think she's going to fight to reclaim what she lost somehow.

For instance, the key moment of episode 6 is IMO at the very end, when Yomi erases Mato's contact info from her cellphone (as she has forgotten her), and there's a Mato voice-over saying "That's definitly wrong".

I just watched the raw episode.

So, if that's true, then what we saw was actually

Spoiler for episode:

I hope Mato can get a happy ending along with the people she cares about

No, if you're talking about Yomi forgetting about Mato and deleting her contact from her phone, that actually happened, and it's the result of Dead Master dying.

Killing Insane would result on Mato forgetting her pain. Forgetting about Yomi and maybe also about something else that she has been hiding since even before that series started (it's implied she has been hiding something all this time!!).

I was talking more about the fact that Mato seemed to disappear at the end, not so much about Yomi.

Isn't that just because she's unconscious and can't go to school?

So far, I really can't help but pull a "what the hell is going on?"
I understood that much that STR is actualling taking Yuu's place, since the latter wants to hold all the burden for herself.

Then what? What's the whole point of "that" world, let alone the point for them to fight each other? It isn't like Chariot was trying to "save" either BRS or DM at all, so otherworld characters aren't really there just to save others by killing them.
It makes even less sense for Saya to awaken the girls: I mean, that would lead to more problem for Yuu, and frankly, the multiple emphasis on Saya's pleasure in inflicting mental stress on the other characters hardly make sense with her current stance.

To begin with, Mato was shown more or less fine from the start, so the fact BRS is around is sort of weird. Even moreso when she tried to save DM, then tries to kill her? Errr...

Again, it's implied Mato has been hiding pain from even before the point when the series starts. There's a reason she was so obsessed about that picture book and so on.

Something happened to Mato in the past, and the more Mato hides that pain and runs away from it, the more violent BRS gets in the other world.

Hnnn...I'm a little confused, but lemme just run down this episode first.

The Yuu from the real world was a girl that Saya knew when she was younger, but it didn't really explain what happened to her. Also they don't explain who the Yuu is in the present part of the story line. I guess it could be that Yuu and Strength switched places? I'm not totally sure about that though.

Saya mentioned that she's trying to protect the Otherworld, but did she mention a reason? It couldn't just be for Yuu's sake could it?

And Saya also said that BRS has the power to destroy the Otherworld. But that begs the question, just what exactly is her origin? She's obviously Mato's other self so could that mean Mato has repressed grief that's far worse than any other character so far resulting in BRS's immense power?

This episode kind of threw me for a loop so I'm mostly just speculating. I tip my non-existant hat off to whoever can make complete sense of all this.

Oh, and I guess there's no questioning BGS is Saya's other self now. This episode just blatantly showcased it.
