Yeah, so can't see anything changing there. Sanae wouldn't have a place in the show if she stopped doing what she does. The only real hope is Sanae being able to smother both with attention so Alex doesn't feel neglected.

Hrm ... well, after ep 2 and 3 this seems to very much continue in the same vein as season 1.

Which is fine, but not enough for me to keep it on my "ongoing" list.

I will most likely watch it later on in full, but not right now.

Both eps get a 7/10 vote from me. Light hearted enjoyable comedy....

Compared to the first season's wave of Ika singles, and a few songs scattered across the Drama CDs, it looks like actual character singles have been announced for this season. Ika (though given her three already released singles, plus the ED theme, it's not like she's not getting noticed) and Sanae are the first two.

The Chizuru singles might be interesting.

I was glad they continued the habit of putting something from the episode into the end credits.

The straw hat did suit her...

Ika With a Question Mark 03 - The British Invasion

Darn. That wasn't Hitomi Nabatame as Cindy's English speaking voice. It sounded too good to be true. Everyone else did their own English voice work, though. The bilingual punnery going on in that segment was amusing. English is a language that's notorious for stealing from almost every other (though Japanese is just as guilty), so seeing Ika talking about invading other countries was amusing.

The second segment... hiccups. Yeah, I've been there. Not as bad for me as it is for Ika, but still, not something you want to end up with. Sanae's "tickle me" pose was pretty, I think the Japanese term for it is "ero-cute". Makes one wonder where Chizuru is ticklish. Though it's advised no one tries to find out.

The third segment was a great way to close off the episode. The return of Mini-Ika was adorable, and the Lennon Beach House was... did Ika wander into a time warp off the coast of Kamakura? Makes one wonder if Elvis is hiding out there.

That episode was awesome. May have been the best single episode yet from either season. I laughed so hard at the English lessons, and Cindy thinking Eiko was speaking English. Aligator? where?

"de geso" with English? Interesting. That might help the translators a bit. (less puns, more de geso)

I always love listening to seiyuu mangle English, so the first segment was 7 minutes of awesome in my book. I'd be curious to know how accurate the Japanese subtitles were.

The tickling segment was pretty good, but it suffered in comparison, and the river one was downright bland until the mini-Ika showed up. I kinda wish they'd put the first segment last so it didn't overpower the others -- but then again, it may not be as funny to the Japanese.

Finally, an english-speaking foreigner without a Japanese accent. Well done. Anyone know who did Cindy's english voice?

LOL that 1st segment was hilarious

First off, oh Takeru, you smooth talker you

Second, "Me, toilet, go!"

oh Eiko, you really have a way with words

2nd segement was pretty amusing with the tickling and whenever something like this happens it always seems to come back to trying/attempting it on Chizuru.
Also seems that Sanae can really inject some great moments into this series.

3rd part was ok, was better when Mini-Ika showed up and ended on a rather odd but very amusing note

I tried to do some research on this, and her name - "Ema Kokubu" (I'm not sure what reading to use for her last name) - in Japanese turned up nothing but stuff related to the show. Stuff posted today. She must have been someone specifically hired for her English speaking skills. It worked, needless to say.

For some reason listening to all the characters speaking English felt weird . Of course they were doing pretty well there. I think Eiko pretty much has how any foreigner communicates down pat. Few key words and hope the message gets across .

Sanae must be one of the only people in the world upset about not getting tickled. What a pose .

Welcome back Mini-Ika.

I guess 国分絵麻 is a native English speaking voice actor and just applying Kanjis to the English sounds of her name. For example, if her name is something like Emma Kirkby, then Japanese can apply 絵麻 to Emma and 国分 to Kirkby for fun.

That was the best ep of the season for me, for sure. Every sketch worked well, and all were different. "Eat a duck I must!", "Lennon", and Chizuru's mystery ticklish spot were all big winners.
