This manga has been getting better and better lately, but like TWGOK will we get to see the really good stuff?

Will keep an eye on this, since its GAINAX after all. They may have something up their sleeve.

That description just doesn't fit the series at all as we know it lol... hopefully this is Gainax and hopefully they've been generously funded for this project.

I wouldn't say is the best manga, but it sure is one of the best shounen we have there. Seriously, the writing is far too good for the kids of nowadays.

No need to worry, Kumagawa will save the anime like he did with the manga. Who knows maybe the main character will be Kumagawa and Zen won't exist, or be push back as a side character who shows up for one episode. I'm sure the anime writers will know what the people want by seeing who's the most popular in the manga.

Anyway, my major concern is also Kumagawa's voice actor. He is like the only character whose casting is not even remotely rumoured. It's really important to convey the meaning of '『』' well, because it is one of the bigger foreshadowing for his act.

Another is none other than 'GAINAX'. I don't think they are ready for any more quality series currently.

Actually the JUMP readership really... "jumped" in age over the last year. Maybe that's why Medaka Box is now a solid mid tier performer in the manga TOC. Jump looks a lot more like Magazine than what it used to be.

Well considering Medaka Box appeals to an older crowd than say Naruto for instance than yes it is a good thing. I would say that + Kumagawa is the reason why it's so entrenched in Jump after that rocky first year. I'm kinda half assed looking for the new age group stats and if I find them I'll edit them into this post.

Wouldn't be surprise if they introduce Kumagawa earlier rather than keeping him for the 2nd season.

My suggestion to Gainax is to pretend that the first 54 chapters was a prequel written after the Kumagawa arc. Than you can have your first episode OP be a montage of it and once Kumagawa breaks sales records you can animate that season later on. Fuck it, if we're only going to get 26 episodes might as well adapt the best part!
