Source? I won't believe it otherwise. Doesn't look like any Japanese site is mentioning it either so...

Glad that Medaka Box 2 is trailing in a romance action route (I hope) since I dropped the first season.... I might rewatch it.. if things gets even better... in the romantic side that is....

Still, I really wanted a male seiyuu for him. >_>

Awful choice. Really hope she's just playing the child Kumagawa.

Ogata Megumi is an awesome seiyuu. Some people clearly don't know her work if they think her natural voice is anything like Shinji's.

She doesn't fit Kumagawa at all, although really I didn't want a female VA voicing him to begin with.

I think she will use her Shinji voice, actually. It's a good fit. Kumagawa is such a great character that people seem to forget he is first and foremost a big loser. He is not supposed to sound cool (though he always tries to... I wonder how that effect will translate into the anime).

I'm not very familiar with her work, but I don't think Kumagawa's the type to have a feminine voice. I realize that young men are often played by women, but... it just doesn't fit him in particular. Perhaps she's playing the child version, since there should be some flashbacks.

This. Regardless of her skill (which she has), it's simply the fact that Kumagawa doesn't come off as the kind of character to be voiced by a female, even if he is what he is. Now, if she's only voicing his younger self, then there's no problem.

oh you never know, some female seiyuu can pull off pretty convincing male voices.

Back to a normal pacing. We'll see Kamiya's character next week.

Sigh. One wonders if she can manage to do him justice without sounding like Romi Paku.
At least his hair is black and not brown.
