Question Current anime that doesn't have a love story involved

I was recently dumped by my girlfriend and right now I want to avoid anything that contains some sort of romance or a love story. Unfortunately it's much harder than It should be.

To give an idea of what I like, right now I'm watching Naruto and Hunter X Hunter, Log Horizon, Kill La Kill, Samurai Flamenco.

I'm 8 episodes into Strike the Blood but it's looking like love will be a big part of the story. Kyoukai no Kanata was very interesting but the romance thing was too much for me. I just saw the first episode of Witch Craft Works, it looks really cool but it's obvious that love is going to be a major thing in the show and I'm most likely going to drop it for now. I really liked Valvrave, I was still with my ex at the time, but I remember that love/romance wasn't a big theme in the show, and nobody got a happy ending.

So I'm looking for anime that came out in 2013 or later that could be something I like and love/romance has very little or no presence in the story.

I'll suggest Psycho-Pass, should fit what you're looking for.

Yup, I saw Attack on Titan. That was awesome.

I found Pyshco Pass to be far too violent. Yeah Attack on Titan was also violent, but it was AoT!

I have not watched any of Railgun. The first season is Kagaku no Railgun?

Edit:
Watched, the first episode of Railgun. Definitely something I can get into. Thanks

I was referencing the second season of Railgun (Railgun S)which is far less... fanservicy, and much more of an action thriller. I think you would like it, although it takes two or three episodes to really get going. (The Sisters Arc, which is the first 2/3 of the season is generally considered the best arc in the whole franchise). The second season does not really require you watch the first season.

If you are willing to go back further than 2013 (which the first season of Railgun suggests you are), then I have a wider range of suggestions to call on (zero romance is a hard criteria):

Action/Adventure:
Chrono Crusade
Fullmetal Alchemist (first anime)
Tiger & Bunny
Bodacious Space Pirates (Okay a set of tertiary characters has a romance in the third story arc, but that's it)
Madoka Magica

Sports:
Big Windup aka Ōkiku Furikabutte

Slice of Life/Comedies (Good for cheering up, but with no romance):
Minami-ke
K-On
Bunny Drop
Lucky Star
Tonari no Seki-kun

Disaster:
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0

Is some romance okay? Like for example, Jojo, is Jojo's Bizarre Adventure too much romance?

The main reason I mentioned 2013 or later, is because I've seen every single one of the action/adventure shows that you mentioned in your second post So it was a way to avoid getting recommended stuff I've already seen.

I haven't seen any of the Slice of Life ones and I'll do a little research. But at this point my main like is stuff that's actiony and has giant robots or magic.

Thank you for the suggestions

It's just a coincidence that I haven't seen Railgun.

Kingdom. Your eyes will burn the first few episodes until you get used to the horrible CGI effects everywhere, but once you got used to it, you can concentrate on the great historical epic that it is. It is mostly action, warfare, a bit of strategy and also a bit of political intrigue.

Sadly many people don't even give it a chance because of the CGI, which causes this show to become a perfect hit or perfect miss in most cases.

How about Uchouten Kazoku, Gatchaman Crowds, and, from 2012, Tsuritama? None of these have much romance, but all have strong stories.

Chrono Crusade
I'm sorry... Chrono Crusade when "no romance" is a criteria ?

Did you see Magi yet? If not, this is highly recommended and doesnt really have any romance in it. I also second the Kingdom rec.

I second Psycho-Pass. If you were able to handle Attack on Titan, than this anime should be easy to handle as well. I believe the first episode had an exceptionally gory moment, but you shouldn't be turned off by that because its not something that happens continually throughout the series.

I recently finished Psycho-Pass and am still reeling. It was very impressive.

AKB0048 Might fall under your list if you ignore the half episode dedicated to a girl meeting with a love interest.

Does Shin Sekai Yori count ? I'm pretty sure apart from a few episodes there's pretty much no romance in it (even when it is there, its drowned out by the awesomeness of the rest of show).
