So Jin is all grown up now..
Guess Kouga still follows the same hero ideals as he did as a kid. Konoha's doing what she can to help others too. Those three together would make an amazing team together. Jin as Zetman is pretty terrifying. I kinda feel sorry for Kouga who is still under his family's foot...

You know, this is one of those cases where I'm very glad not to have read the source material. While I can get a sense of what's been lost by compressing the story this much and understand why having Kouga and Jin know each other as little boys changes the dynamic, I'm impartial enough to appreciate the anime for what it is. And despite the blistering pace, it's excellent - handsome, well-drawn and animated, with a flair for the dramatic. It's remarkable to see a Japanese author write a story that so perfectly captures the essence of the Alan Moore styled dark superhero genre.

The poor innocent auntie who is doing her best to make ends meet, unfortunately may meet her end due to cowardly means. The dark environment is well done to suit the dark theme of the show, which undoubtedly will play an important role in the plot.

I have read the first 12 chapters, just to see the differences. But it's one thing to mimic the style, and quite another to capture it - and Katsura has really done that to a remarkable degree. And yes, it does show through in the anime.

Episode 2 was pretty fast paced again, but I'm certainly not feeling the usual second episode quality drop. I'm still digging the retro feel to the visual style, it's really reminiscent of classics like Ninja Scroll.
Also....really? After one episode? Definitely unfair, I liked her. =\

Yep, the pacing looked the same of the first episode, and that's not a compliment. Instead I felt the animation and art style dropping in quality a bit, but it could be due to the art style, I have to fully get used to yet. The fighting reminded me a bit of Tiger Mask
![]() Anyways I hope that the pace will slow down now that the main characters seem to be positioned on the board. Because even if I felt sorry for Akemi (Poor her, as I feared she lost her previous work, and now ... ) it was really too fast. Jin surely is really cool as much as the cutie's brother is really a spoiled brat, and it is a good thing unless the boy is also not smart enough to learn from this sort of new surrounding. Surely as already mentioned here, this fast pacing/skipping chapters attitude is getting me curious to read the manga.

Despite HanaKana back again voicing another osananajimi, I just can't feel jubilant about it. Katsura's track record isn't exactly great (one straight up loss, another what should've been a loss but became a win on a technicality lol) XD

I don't think Akemi is dead, at least not yet (damn you previews!)

I thought it was only me and only for the first episode, but the second one really worries me regarding the pacing.
Frankly, the good point is that there would hardly be any moment we would be bored by the pacing, but at the same time, it goes so fast that I wonder if the development of certain characters won't get oversimplified because of that. Of course, being a manga reader just amplifies this feeling, and I can't say I'm totally satisfied with the adaptation. I honestly thought they were doing some sort of "summary episode", but it seems they will keep the series rolling this way. Oh well, at least, they still did a fairly good job despite the pacing, especially they managed to squeeze Kouga's messed up sense of justice in this episode alone.

![]() and I just remembered that she shares the name with a character who really made me cry as a baby ... ![]() I agree with you, I'm also not a manga reader, but surely I'm starting to share the same worries Klashikari has regarding the characters' development.
