So while we are waiting for the LN translations, why don't we discuss about our favorite plays by the Keishin team?

Mine are these:

1. Hinata taking a charge from Takenaka
2. Hina's incredible no-look shot vs Miyu's team
3. Tomoka cutting through two defenders and Miyu expected her to take the shot, only for Maho to take a jump shot from mid-range. THAT. WAS. AWESOME.

So how about character development later on? Is there any romantic inclination between Subaru and another girl? Given that they are only 2-3 years apart, it may be natural for them.

You can try wenku8.cn or xs.178.com too. Though they are fan-translations, like a Chinese Baka-Tsuki.

To supplement it by breaking down the given name should be fairly easy though since the names are all kanji with the exceptio of Hinata:

昴: Subaru
美星: Mihosi
智花: Tomoka
爱莉: Airi
日向: Hinata
真帆: Maho
纱季: Saki
葵: Aoi

I don't read the novels but I think in episode 6.. the anime rushed the school tournament,I mean only a few seconds of 1 match and with takenaka as the coach

Did they win the tournament?

And of course thanks for the information of the novels that you share...

I think he meant the sport festival tournament.

To be honest, I can't remember whether they won the whole thing or not, after all that was not the central plot. The the goal was to just beat class D (?) who happen to have many members from boys' basketball team in addition that both class have long been rivals. Not only that, I usually just skim through basketball part since I'm enjoy more in the character interaction, in addition without visual, those games can be a pretty dry read.

Hm. IMO it doesn't matter whether the girls won the sports festival or not. But THAT buzzer-beater by Hinata WAS. FREAKING. AWESOME.

Between the b-ball part and the character interaction, I can go both ways. What's incredible to me is that RKB didn't involve too much basketball but still managed to show how the girls play individually and as a team, unlike SD which IMO relied too much on the b-ball part to progress the story. There sure were "cheesy" moments (Sakuragi/Haruko, Ryota/Ayako, etc), but most of the time it's the sport that drives the plot. RKB, not so much.

But I do understand that if that's what it took to educate the viewers about basketball, it sure is definitely worth it. After all, SD more or less popularized the sport in Japan when it was all about baseball or whatever.

Oh yes, the beautiful game. I wonder why soccer has not yet been moe-fied AFAIK though, considering the victory of the Japanese Barcelona in the FIFA Women's Cup. I guess soccer is a complicated game.

Yes, that is the tournament I'm talking about....

They said that subaru's team was going to play against class D and the rest of the clasess of the school. But we only see a few seconds.... that's why I'm wondering what happened in the novels...

I checked through it quickly, and it seems that it closed from 10-8 (C leading), even after C mystified D with many girls to cover seriously. And Maho seemed to have put silently the ball in the basket at the end.

Same reason the baseball hadn't either, they don't need to. There are enough of mainstream manga about both sport not to mention other non-sports manga that keeps shave it down people's throat like Detective Conan.

But seriously, there were are enough out there not to mention the two classics that are still currently on-going: Major(1994-) for baseball, and Captain Tsubasa (1981-) for soccer.

And if you want to be picky the hugely popular Inazuma Eleven anime is a shota-fied version.
