Same lady who would proceed to contribute significantly to the extinction rate of a particular food animal at the dinner table, I take it?

As it has become a tradition in my country, parents of newborns would give their children double first names. In my case, I would like my child to use one Japanese name and another name (either Western or local) so that either one of them can be used someday, for him or her to pick and use for convenience and if necessary reduce confusion on several levels.

If spoken in Tagalog, it would've sounded like "Nag-isa" or "being one".

I have no idea what that is supposed to mean.

Me neither. Was she contributing to the extinction rate of alligators?

I had referred to my friend in a previous post a few years ago and Ascaloth remembered her. She's simply a Chinese woman who is very good looking, thin -- and can out-eat me at any meal.

And probably not just alligators, either; I bet she's a walking mass extinction event.

I believe NA-GI-SA also means "Saute'd" if spoken in Tagalog

eg. "Nagisa sa sariling mantika."(Saute' on it's own oil.)

LOL, yeah.

Actually, the most uncomfortable thing about that name is that everytime it gets mentioned, I think of the 17th Angel in Eva. That's right, the pretty boy.

Maybe that explains why you are away from the forum last week. Congrats for getting discharged from the hospital; your wife didn't make you sleep in the living room after making you half-dead, did she?

Walking omnivorous apocalypse, more like.

Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.

Wait, Vexx, you were hospitalised? Which gasket did you blow this time?

I actually think of Misumi Nagisa from Pretty Cure and Chiba Nagisa, from Code Geass when I hear the name Nagisa. Guess my dislike for Furukawa Nagisa made me forget her existence

Nagisa's a beautiful name, I say go for naming your child that!

But please, please be sure to choose one of the kanji that say "Nagisa" and tell your child the meaning. People love to ask what your name means if it's exotic, and not knowing can leave a really bad impression. People ask me what my name means all the time, I don't want to imagine if I couldn't answer. This is why the intarweb needs a sarcasm/goofy/BS metric
No, SH is just poking at me for admiring the lady and presumes my loli-tsundere wife would eviscerate me - thus requiring hospitalization.

Truth: No, I've been spending Thanksgiving with family and friends (which also cut down on my gaming time as well as forum time). My wife and said Chinese omnivore are good friends (my wife has friends of both sexes as do I and neither requires the other's presence to go eat/movie/hobby with said friends, welcome to "jealousy is for the infantile or insecure as it implies some kind of possession rather than love" ).

Name it in whatever way you fancy. Just as long as it's not Hitler and all the other typical ones that get covered by large news agencies.
