They covered the kiss. Then the last panel explained why.

The end was nice. Tsugumi is smoking hot, Kosaki is the next Cake Boss, and we still didn't see Raku's mom.

After all that, I can't really bring myself to care about Raku's love life, so it was actually a good ending.
yes.. this wrapped up everything
Marika got Y-san wait! did Y-san really come from Chiba?

Shuu X Ruri is going strong
Yui got pregnant... and we don't know who is the man..
Tsugumi is gorgeous... <3

Raku looks more mature but Chitoge looks exactly the same as before... nothing changed

well.. good ride...
I can't still accept the ending but overall I have some moment where I enjoyed this manga for real
Time to close this manga properly and forget all those rage moment
I still demand a close-up kiss scene though

That would be difficult as long as she keeps wearing that ribbon on her head.

Well, its over. I am glad it was Chitoge and Raku as I thought their personalities really needed what the other could offer.

I find the ending really unsatisfying, but I guess it goes with the rest of the series. We've had a hundred chapters where nothing happened, so having the last chapter being so uneventful as a finale is quite fitting.

Pretty good closure for a series that I thought kept trying to make its main hook (the pendant) more important than it really was). In the end it wrapped up as I thought it would (not who the end girl is, but that his current level of bond with the girls will matter more than a dumb childhood promise). Good finish.

One gripe though - you're telling they didn't kiss at for all the times they met during the timeskip years (university and a bit after, I guess?)??? Uhhhhh

In the end all I can really muster to say about the series as a whole is "it was alright".

I mean I did enjoy it but never felt invested in it in anyway really, just read it for the sake of reading it(which is pretty common with alot of what I read these days)

The ending I think we could have maybe had just a tad more but wasn't bad in anyway.

If I had one remark to make, it's been a long standing one, Raku really missed out on Tsugumi, bloody hell, to quote Rokumonsen "Tsugumi is smoking hot".

That pendant and key subplot was completely useless.

It was the only tangible thing that connected all of them together.

Besides, it can indicate how Raku matured by the end of the manga, letting go of childish concepts about love.

Raku's love for Onodera was pure idealization. In his eyes, she was perfect. And then comes Chitoge; they argue, fight etc and Raku discovers, as Chitoge grows in his heart, the other side of love, full of potential and new experiences. Beside Onodera he is clumsy and insecure. Beside Chitoge he is more assertive and spontaneous.

Now, he doesn't need the pendant anymore to guide him, he can decide for himself.

That said, I really liked the manga as a whole, and although I was #teamkousaki, I was happy that Raku ended up with Chitoge (Onodera deserves better, anyway).

Overall, not bad. I've written in length before how I loved Raku's character slowly falling in love with Chitoge, so I won't repeat myself. From a writing perspective, it couldn't be anyone but Chitoge.

Still, I think the anime really has affected me, since I can't be happy with the ending despite knowing Chitoge will win. HanaKana (my #1 VA) voicing Kosaki and IMO Touyama really dropping the bomb on her rendition of Chitoge really made me jump ships, even though I absolutely loved the Culture Festival Play the first time I read it.

From there, Raku's time over at the Onodera Sweet Shop has been my favourite parts of the manga, and Onodera's 'support cast' is way more fun than Chitoge's. I mean, Ruri, Haru and her mother have some memorable chapters focused on them, while I find Seishirou boring and Claude to be very aggravating. On top of that, Onodera being the original promised girl felt like the biggest twist of a knife that the story has done for me. Pretty cruel for them to fall in love with each other AGAIN without memory of their promise, only for Raku to fall for Chitoge during the time Raku/Kosaki couldn't spit it out.

So I guess, job well done? I mean, I'm Team Onodera yet I can still accept Chitoge winning.

And I don't give a shit what you guys have to say, but Marika is still best girl! Knew full well the events that has transpired in their childhood, and yet still goes all out to try and win the heart of the man she loves. Pretty much the single biggest factor in Chitoge winning in the storyline, but it does make me wonder... if Marika also gave her 'never give up' speech to Kosaki, was there a chance that Raku's heart would change again? I guess I can only dream... XD

no problem.. in the end only Tsugumi become the strongest competitor for Marika's position as best character in this series
Marika is definitely the most mature in the harem

*I'm still team Haru though*

The final volume is out. There was an omake showing Kosaki's daughter (name: Sasa Miyanagi) and Raku and Chitoge's son (name: Haku Ichijou) meeting on their first day at Bonyari.

Good to know Kosaki moved on, I guess.

I hoped for a longer epilogue but I guess we have to set with this.

Any chance they show the MCs or just the kids?

At least Kosaki shippers are given a consolation.
