Just caught up with this series and my god is it a jack-of-all-tropes... trope-ageddon. It's entertainingly assembled though. A bit annoyed by the constant "redherringing" around, especially when the manga is very predictable when it comes to the romance part, anyway.

Well we have two different crime syndicates and one law enforcement. Some sort of military power from wherever is next? I'd say they'd try the typical American blonde head loud mouth assertive girl trope, but we already have the blonde hair and loud mouth part...

Well so far we gotten so many girls with different personalty and race. So it wouldn't surprise me, the Military Girl idea isn't so bad. It really does remind people of America, Guns and War as well some other unspeakable things.......

ya know its funny i just thought of another anime thats a harem which is just as amusing as this one besides love hina. anybody remember an old classic called Ranma 1/2 thankfully this doesnt have the whole sneeze and he becomes a girl but we got an old man who keeps making promises and it troubles our lead haha

List is long and bending, there was quite a lot of titles with harems. Some were successful some were medicore and some were shitty.

ah my bad ur rite it was falling into water either way. It seems as though he's in big trouble because his dad made a bunch of promises that he cant keep and now he's kinda screwed

Nope he isn't really screwed. This manga most likely will end with 1 girl win, while the rest of cast will either get a proper closure or float around hopping that they can catch him in the future. That is if it will get a proper closure without some open end or an axe.
It's just that I can't see this ending as some harem, no way. Promises of his father on the other hand mean jack sh1t to him, he will choose the one girl he wants, nothing will change that, promises or no promises.

Yup, this manga is full of stereotypes, whole manga developement shows him and Chitoge getting closer and closer, while there is a whole damn lot of chemistry going on between them.
Onodera is the usual *final step* girl, most of the time its the first love/affection type girl.
As far as it goes Chitoge have 50% to win, Onodera around 20% new girl around 20% (engagement and all that junk),
9% for God knows what (may go to Onodera percent pile), and 1% for the maid.
