Sure, the Project 2199 version was a hack job too but it was the Yamato theme. And to replace an original animation sequence, storyboarded by one of the industries giants with a 90 second clip show? Filled with spoilers?! FFS!!! And a straight forward clipshow at that, not a filter or anything of the type! Even this would be better!!!

On this day i have to say, loud and clear... "F**K YOU, MBS!!!"
The moment I heard that Uverworld was doing something, and calling it [Fight For Liberty], I felt my heart sank.

The new video cans it.

In the light of that, the Shingeki no Kyojin xover sounds (and works!) way better!!

Yeah, that new OP just doesn't fit Yamato at all. Top it off with the OP animation being no more than scenes taken from the episodes, no actual OP animation at all, and it's extremely lackluster.

That new OP is not my cup of tea. Yeah, I'm sticking with the BD releases too.

I have noticed they have a lot....a whole lot of musical talent in this production. Maybe they decided the best way to make sure they make their money back in via CD sales.

Do you think that the Gamillian fighters used during episode 19 and 20 where also old, like the carriers?

Not sure. Maybe. They didn't have any of those models out during the Naval Review in episode 18.

Though the Naval Review had a mix of carriers and mostly we see the flying wing style attack craft usually associated with the planetary attack carrier design.

Dangit, we have three months to wait for the last volume after 6 comes out this Friday instead of the usual two. Volume 7's release date is 10/25. >.>

It was usually three months. They tried to get it down to two months and for a tiny bit they were successful. However, the last episodes will be on TV during September. Before the BD comes out. The last chapter will be in theaters at the end of August. So if one has the option they can either fly to Japan and watch the last Chapter in a theater, or find a way to watch it weekly in September while waiting until the end of October for the final BD release.

I don't mind the wait.

Any of you getting the Hilde Megahouse figure?

I kinda only wanna get the Yamato crew members though.

Hilde wasn't really interesting. Up next is Makoto though still yet to be painted. Niimi will probably follow after.

No idea.

Maybe the Live Action movie is getting a North American release, but they think it too needs to have the "Star Blazers" name.

Or maybe someone sold one of those scripts after all these years (hopefully not the Space Battleship Arizona one someone tried to sell to Disney).

On another note: DHL seems to be really fast this time around and should be delivering Chapter 6 tomorrow instead of Monday. So I'll technically have the episodes on release day.

Also there is this image of Desler's new ship for Chapter 7 floating around from the facebook pages (source unknown to me at present)

Spoiler for Desler's ship:

For the expense some are going in as groups to spead the cost out.

Others have "different" means

EDIT: BD arrived.
