So far Yangami is definitely my favorite character. Heh, I always end up liking the badasses.

I don't think you understand, cats are already that smart, and they can talk.

They just don't choose to.

Now in the future I suppose they consider humans to be advanced enough to be worth conversing with...

this show really looks good but i don't think it'll be as good as rahxephon though. The talking cat is great and so is the girl that takes care of the "wheel"!

Well, despite their apparent similarities, Kenran is obviously intended to be very different from RahXephon. It's much more light-hearted and idealistic (I mean, come on... the pirates are just a loveable bunch of Robin Hoods :P). So I'm sure it will have some serious themes, but for now I'm content to enjoy the combination of action and comedy.

I think it's a bit too game-like for the 2nd episode... it's like fighting missions in a mech action game... I can imagine how those missions go in the game
Spoiler:
It's indeed very idealistic, the pirates are some naive goody-goody people who rob the rich and help the poor, and their enemies are only remote controlled mechs so they don't harm anyone's life during the raids.

I like it so far, but I hope it gets better into something more of a Bones-scale project, if you know what I mean. And I definitely hope it's not 13 episodes, because that's no good. It'd be nice if it was a 52-ep, so that the creators can take their time developing everything.

Still, I'm enjoying it, and will eagerly watch episode 3 when it comes out.

I'm not to sure but this could be a result of terraforming. You need water, bacteria and other stuff to produce an atmosphere...although i once read somewhere that Mars would be too small to effectivly hold an atmosphere on a global scale.

yup, Mars is terraformed into a waterworld, with people living in huge slow moving "city ships".

The attitude and atmosphere of the people on the ship, for some strange reason, remind me very much of Laputa, Last Exile and Vandread...

But somehow it is interesting, I just feel like watching it...

Well, to me the ship's attitude is like that of the typical anime traveling ship's... And there are lots of them... But I guess since it's underwater that's a small bit of originality (though it's not like that hasn't been done before either)... Nevertheless it should still be interesting enough to have a twist or two of its own. Hopefully.
